I have been wrong about a great many things in my life time. Especially in my childhood. But one thing that I have been hugely and surprisingly right about ever since I was a kid was when I picked my favorite kind of ice cream.
When I was a kid, my dad wanted me to try a new flavor for my birthday one year, so I tried orange twist. It basically is orange sherbet and vanilla mixed together and tastes like heaven. From that experience, I decided that orange twist ice cream was the best ice cream in the whole world.
Over the past years, however, walmart stopped carrying it, and pretty much none of the other stores stores have it either except for rare occasions.
Basically I never get to have it. :(
But whenever people ask what my favorite kind of ice cream is, I always say it's orange twist. Without hesitation. Why? Because I assume I was correct.
Yesterday my dad and I were shopping, and I happened to see orange twist was stocked in the freezer. So of course, I had my dad get some. It had to have been at least two years since I had it. And I was right. I was so so right. I may not be right about everything, but I was right.
