Chapter~21 Glasses and Glares

Ahlam's POV

Pushing my glasses up the bridge of my nose, I look around the conference room as I felt the hair on my back stand up.
I could feel someone watching me with such intensity.
Fidgeting in my seat, I try to discreetly look around to find the bastard that's staring at me.

Don't they seriously know that its rude to stare and most of all, during an important meeting.

Turning my head to the side, I find that most of the people on the conference room have their attentions on the blackboard except the one man sitting to the far end of the corner, almost as though he's hiding.
Narrowing my eyes at him, I squint my eyes in a questioning way.
Ironically, he only raises his eye in response.
Now that truly pissed me off.
Who does he think he is, just sitting there staring at me? Does he want to have a staring contest or something? just sitting there glaring at me. 
"Anything you'd like to add, Ahlam?" Raffael asks.
Finally turning away from the stranger, I shake my head and continue to jot down ideas from the meeting.

Finally, the meeting comes to an end, and I had to go over the computer to arrange the last piece of information that these department head mangers would need to pass out to their subordinates.

"This is the guidelines for the new project, how you'll be able to find the quick links as well too. If you have any questions, email me please." As I go around to hand the table, I finally get close enough to see the stranger's face.

Somehow, he looked faintly familiar, yet completely unknown to me.

Right when I hand him the last document, he grips it and hold the paper as though he wanted to say something more.

"Grazie, mia bella." Were the words out of his mouth.

Not understanding a word, he said, I give him a tight smile and turn around.

Of course, as luck would have it, my clumsiness took a hold of me right then and there.

I tripped on my own skirt and fell on his lap. I instantly shut my lips and closed my eyes as well. Ya Allah, how humiliating.

I know this is a very short chapter, but I wanted to pace myself in coming back.

I would like to come back and write as much as I possibly can and finish this book.... Its about damn time its finished. I would also like to welcome the new followers and thank you all for patiently waiting and messaging me about my life to just kind of check on me. Very appreciated.
