Dancing In The Moonlight - King Harvest

Eddie turned up the radio as we crossed outside of city limits.

I was curled up in his passenger seat, my feet on the dashboard.

I swayed along to the radio, a song unfamiliar to me blaring out of it. I liked the tune, though. It was catchy.

Eddie glanced over me, a smile on his face.

"What?" I asked him.

He shrugged, "nothing. I was just thinking about how much I'm pushing out of my comfort zone for you."

I chuckled, "is that a good thing?"

"Definitely," Eddie nodded.

I looked up at him, a large smile plastered on my face. "Your mom is going to murder you."

Eddie breathed out, "I know."

"You should start wearing your fanny packs again," I said, seemingly out of nowhere. But I had been thinking about this for weeks.

"Why's that?" Eddie asked, a smile playing on his lips. His eyes were on the road.

I twirled a strand of hair, looking down at it.

I shrugged, still watching my hair, "they were cute."

He cringed, "no. They were not cute."

"I thought they were really cute! I loved how you would just pull things out of it. It always made me laugh. It was absolutely adorable" I smiled out the window, thinking about his old fashion choices.

Eddie turned a slight shade of pink and I chuckled at him.

"Where are we even going? You never told me."

The sun was starting to sink in the sky. My mom would be wondering where I was. I would just call her from a pay phone and tell her I was staying the night at Bev's. That we had a lot of important things to discuss.

Eddie smirked, "you'll see."

We arrived in a large field. The sun had fully set, and the stars were visible in the sky.

Eddie hopped out of the car and ran to the other side to open the door for me.

I smiled and hopped out, my heart fluttering as I looked up at him.

He climbed up on top of his moms car, beaconing me to follow.

I did as he asked and we sat on the roof of his mom's car.

He gently pushed me down so i was laying on my back.

My heart hammered. Holy shit.

He laid back next to me, looking up.

"I heard you liked stars."

I nodded, "your source is definitely reliable."

"Well, Miss Hunt, this is the best view of the stars you'll find."

I nodded, gazing at the wonderful stars.

"I can't deny that."
