The day Eddie kissed Brandy (for the first time)
Young Eddie Kaspbrak ran around the playground, his mother and father both watching him. His father had a huge, loving smile on his face as he watched his son run around. His mother had a smile on her face watching her husband watch her child.
Eddie ran around, free of fear and commitment, enjoying his time in the sun.
He was nearly four, and couldn't wait to see what life had in store for his future. The talkative child had plans beyond anything one would believe a four year old to dream up, and the child would tell you all about them.
How he planned to visit the moon and become a fire fighter. Eddie Kaspbrak would conquer the world.
A little girl his same age ran along next to her big brother, who was running away from their mother.
The little girl giggled, reaching the playground. Brandy Hunt was her name. Her big brother of five was named Freddie. Their mother was holding a baby girl, Eileen, along with them.
Brandy smiled at the jungle gym and ran towards it, heading straight for the monkey bars.
Eddie Kaspbrak watched as the girl climbed up, and thought of the one thing he hadn't planned out in his life: his love life.
He looked over at his parents and thought of how in love they seemed to be. When he grew up, he wanted to be in love just like they used to be. Before they started yelling at each other.
He cocked his head sideways as he continued to watch the pretty young girl on the jungle gym.
He trotted over to her, a wide smile on his face, "do you want to be my true love?" Eddie asked the girl.
Brandy scrunched up her nose, "eww! Boys are gross!"
Eddie frowned, "that's not very nice!"
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to be not nice!" Brandy exclaimed.
Eddie's frown softened, "what's your name?" He asked her.
Brandy flashed his a wide smile, her sea blue eyes dancing in the light, "I'm Brandy! What's your name?"
"I'm Eddie!" Eddie said with pride.
"Are you sure you don't want to be my true love?"
Brandy shrugged, "does that mean we play house?"
Eddie nodded, "I think so."
Brandy smiled, "Okay! I'll be the mommy, and you can be the daddy!"
"Okay!"
Brandy and Eddie played house on the playground. They giggled and bounced around, having the times of their lives.
"Brandy! It's time to go!" Mrs. Hunt called.
Brandy looked at her new friend, "I've got to go. I'll see you around!"
She waved at Eddie before jogging away.
Eddie grabbed her by the arm and pecked her on the cheek before she left.
Brandy cringed, "ew! Gross! Cooties!"
Brandy wiped the kiss off of her cheek and put it back on Eddie before running off the catch up with her brother and mom.
Eddie watched her leave, a giant grin plastered on his small face.
"I'm going to marry her," he said to himself.
