It's hard to describe and it hurts to hear it spoken,
I didn't know my heart was so fragile, I'm afraid it might be broken,
It hasn't beat the same since you've gone and left it swollen,
My heart hurts so bad I think I might rather have it stolen,
I know you didn't mean to but you cracked my heart right open,
And now I have to deal with the path of grief that you seem to have chosen,
You told me we could've had a different outcome if I just met you that night by the ocean,
If I could ask you for one last thing, it's don't paint me black when I used to be golden,
Because I know it's my fault that our love is buried in the ruins,
I just don't know if its the past or hope that I'm out here holding,
But if there's a chance for redemption there's no way I plan on folding,
I didn't mean to hurt you, please take my apology as a token.
