Sometimes quiet is violent and we scream for others to listen,But no one gives a shit about you if you ain't the one they're missing,
They'll look you in the eyes but aren't really paying attention,
They're waiting for their turn to talk, they've got other intentions,
They'll sip their drink and nod with fake sympathy,
They'll put their hand on you shoulder yet think "how does this affect me?"
You show them the cracks in your broken soul, but the message to save you isn't received,
So you lose your faith as you unfold your hands and get off your knees,
Now every time you see them, an unnerving flash seems to arise,
Because no matter how hard you smile, they know the pain behind your eyes,
You try to laugh the loudest, but they know it's all lies,
Now everyday is a constant battle of proving you're alright.
