Let Go of the Anchor

Call me your angel whenever you see that evil glint in my eyes,

Whisper you love me whenever I lavish you with lies,

Be open with your secrets and claim I'm your muse,

I'll shut you out of my heart, leaving you confused,

You don't know why you're still with me, but you know you won't leave,

Maybe the bed just isn't as warm and thats why you can't sleep,

Your thoughts are screaming but your heart won't pull away,

You think this is real but I'm not even meeting you halfway,

I know you're too addicted to let go of this high,

You have to get your daily dose of me to keep you alive,

You're oblivious to the notion that we're two lost souls,

And pray that the idea of two broken pieces can be whole,

But I feel as though this is worse than being alone,

Because I know you won't admit it, but you consider me your home.
