My heart was your home and now I don't know what to do,You left a hole in my chest and I don't think it's leaving room for anyone new,
The void is filled with pain that I can't seem to subdue,
I won't even bother getting it back, it'll always belong to you.
Please take care of it better than you did before,
I don't think my heart can endure much more,
If you can't handle it, please leave it packaged at my door,
I'd rather it be in endearing hands than forgotten on your floor.
I won't follow its bloody trail if you keep it from going cold and hollow,
I won't ask your friends how you're doing to avoid future blows,
And I know if I call you, I'll hear a voicemail that follows:
"We're sorry, the number you're trying to reach moved on a long time ago."
