We've been at this for months, stuck in stalemate instead of getting closer,
We attend the same parties, sneaking secret looks at each other,
We anticipate each other's text like we're some type of secret lovers.
Letting our pride get the best of us when we know we're it for one another.
I don't know why we do this, run around the truth,
Because when we're in a crowded room my eyes only search for you,
Right now we're a couple kids in love yet we're acting like fools,
We have all the cards on the table but no ones making the first move,
I don't want to be that couple that doesn't make it out alive,
We're acting like we're worlds apart when we're under the same sky
