You walk around like a zombie, a body with no soul,You drink to numb your mind and smoke to fill the hole,
But your thoughts are buzzing louder, the volume ain't something you can control,
You carry the stress on your shoulders, waiting for the drugs to finally take its toll,
You tell the bartender you're fine and that you might make it back home,
But the empty streets intrigued you so across the city is where you roam,
You find a party to join in yet you've never felt more alone,
So you tune into your thoughts and plug yourself into bass tones,
But the hole in your chest doesn't seem to go away,
You tell yourself to brush it off, the feeling will pass in a day,
But you've repeated that for weeks and nothings changed no matter what you say,
I just hope one day you wake up and you'll actually be okay.
