They start asking you what you want to be when you're five years old,We said "doctors," "lawyers" - whatever idea our parents help mold,
They told us how genius it is and we bought any propaganda that they sold,
Years later we'd change the answers we once told.
Now it's entrepreneurs, photographers or careers they never heard of,
And the patronizing remarks on our decisions would make growing up rough,
And not to mention that the job market is now way more tough,
Because having a university degree is no longer enough,
You're always expected to know where you see yourself in 5 years,
But how do you explain you hope to be anywhere but here?
You've got no designated plan, so you don't know how to get from here to there,
You just hope once you get there, your future goals become clear.
