I'm back at home and slump in my bed face first once again.

I kinda like sneaked out of Theo's house early in the morning. I couldn't sleep either way. I just can't let go the delusive thought of that faint smell which lingered in Theo's room. But why should he feel guilty?

I mean, yes ... Stiles and I were suspicious of him from the beginning he set foot here in Beacon Hills, but his actions should proof otherwise by now, right?
He saved mine and Lydia's life and he's doing everything he can in order to support Scott and the pack.
Okay, admitted... that whole library-card-case isn't solved yet but I take it as my responsibility to figure out what lies behind it.

I sigh and rub my closed eyes with the palms of my hands. I absolutely have no desire to go to school today but I can imagine what my day would look like if I stayed here. -Buried beneath mountains of candy and watching one netflix series after an other. That's it.
But I think I can't afford to have spare time with everything that is going on in this damn city.

I pull myself together and make my way to the bathroom. A quick shower should calm my nerves.

After getting ready, I desperately search for my car keys as well as my phone. Surely it can not be the case that my things somehow disappeared..

'Shoot!' I curse inwardly. It totally slipped my mind that my belongings are still at Scott's house as well as my car itself.

Just great... I guess I should start walking to school now.

______

After one and a half hour of walking, I finally arrive at the school grounds and decide to take the cutoff across the playing field.
I spot Mason and another guy sitting on the bleachers and since I'm late for AP Biology one way or another, I rather wait with the boys for next lesson than being lectured by Finch.

"Alessia, what are you doing here?" Mason questions when I approach them.

"Avoiding a dressing-down." I answer while sitting down next to Mason.

I can't help it, but somehow I get the feeling that I know the boy next to my friend.

"Well, look who's here. Ms. Feisty, nice to see you again." The stranger chimes in and I slightly cringe at the nickname. "Don't tell me you don't remember me." He adds with a mischievous smirk.

Only know, I identify the 'stranger' as Brett Talbot, the boy I met in Sinema back in the days.

"Unfortunately not." I answer nonchalantly.
Of course I remember him but I won't admit that. The boy's ego doesn't need to be pushed any further. Although these broad shoulders are an eye-catcher, I have a reputation to uphold.

But Brett responds to my harsh nature only with a chuckle.

"So, what are you up to?" I ask the boys.

"Just talking about chimeras. So besides abnormal behavior, what else is there to look for? There's heightened strength, smell, hearing, speed." Mason lists.

"Uh, able to see in the dark." Brett states.

"Glowing eyes."

"Probably eyes that reflect the light." I add pensively while watching Liam on the field, unwittingly not focusing on our conversation anymore.

Liam winds out with his stick, targeting the goal but shoots miserably besides it which causes Hayden to smirk mischievously.

"Liam! The hell was that?" I shout while standing up, assuming the role of an too ambitious mum who pressures her kid into winning.
