It was like I closed my eyes only for a few minutes, when in reality I've already slept for two hours straight without even changing out of my clothes from yesterday. I discard that for now and prep up myself for today.

I need to be at my designated station in less than thirty minutes to make a at least one batch of my dish. So I set off as quick as possible, bathing and then brushing my teeth and brushing my hair back and putting on my chef uniform.

I'm out of the door before I knew it.

Hanako was already up and left while I showered. So she must be at her station by now.

I go to the banquet hall, and see that we still have to pick a random piece of paper to determine our stations. To know my place, I was just about to grab myself a paper, when someone blocks my way.

"Amaki-san, it seems you've dropped your paper," the voice makes me pause for a split second before I look up to be face to face with an annoying person. An annoying teacher, to be exact.

His face is somehow playful and serious, and so I just accepted the paper without much complaint.

Hall B. Number twelve, it says.

Hurrying to where Hall B is, I gather my ingredients on the way and plop them down to my station.

"And this time, we're station partners."

For the second time today, someone speaks before even greeting me or letting me acknowledge their presence. But I'm not surprised when I see my black haired cousin in front of me, mixing eggs into a bowl and then adding some spices into it.

"To be honest, I'm not that surprised," a dry chuckle leaves me, meaning that I could hardly ever care about this fact. Being with Hanako isn't all that bad.

With that, I went to work and pushed myself to make at least two batches of my dish.

Just when I was about to make the third batch, the speakers blared and the same voice of Dojima Gin was heard. He announces that we have two goals to complete, that the judges were to approve of our dish, and that we reach at least two hundred. If one or both are not accomplished, then I'm positive that the student would be expelled.

"Now that's a challenge," starting to feel invigorating, I say to myself.

"Especially since I'm here," boasted Hanako from just beside me, having the same expression on her face.

"Are you proposing to have a race with me, Hanako?" I challenged her, seeing that the fire in her eyes hasn't died down yet.

"You just took the words out of my mouth, Momoka," she counters back, standing very proudly just here beside me.

The judges came rushing in from all sides, and I prepare to push myself even more.

"Merguez sausages, ma'am?" I mustered enough courage to call out to mother with three of her children in tow with her. I send them a reassuring smile, not wanting to scare them off.

The two younger ones, who look like twins, rush without any delay and also without the consent of their mother. They each pick a plate and take a large spoonful of my dish. The sound of their delightful hums make me smile more. Seeing them gobble the food messily down their throat earns a laugh from me.

Then the eldest sibling eyes his siblings in disgust. He takes one look at the other station, and takes one dish for himself. His actions make me frown, and the stray of compliments that follow has me rolling my eyes.
