Chapter 33 - End of Ganondorf and the new sage

Serah ignored what Light had said. She ran into the castle doors followed by Fang and Midna.

“I don’t care about what she said!” said Serah. “I know she needs my help! So does Zelda.”

Fang stopped her. “What if you die? What if you get hurt? It’ll be my problem then! Not yours, mine!”

Serah carried on. “I am going to her whether you like it or not. She will need my help.”

“How do you know? It may just be Ganondorf playing with your mind!”

“And what if its not?!”

“She has Nero and Link! We don’t need to go!”

Serah ignored her again. “Midna?”

“Yes?” Midna asked appearing from her shadow.

“Can you warp us up there?”

Midna thought about it. “Sorry. I can’t do that. “There’s no portal up there. We’re going to have to take the normal way.”

Serah exhaled deeply. “At least we won’t need to attack anyone or anything.”

“Why not?”

“Link, Light and Nero have already cleared the path. We just have to go through it to them.”

Long after killing the monsters and climbing up the stairs into the hall, Link and Light were tired already.

“Look who’s finally decided to show up, princess,” Ganondorf sneered. “It’s your soon-to-be-dead knight in shining armour.” Ganondorf turned around. “I guess not so shiny. I see you won’t be rescued this time.”

Link looked up at the stone Triforce. To his surprise, she wasn’t there. He looked straight ahead of him. There she was. Unconscious on her own throne, Zelda was bleeding and looked beaten up. Luckily, her light arrows were next to a pillar on the sides.

Nero took the Master Sword and yelled at Ganondorf. “What the hell is wrong with you?”

“Don’t you feel the least bit ashamed of hitting a woman?” Lightning asked scornfully.

Ganondorf laughed. “Ah…You must be the demon and the l’cie. Let me guess. You want to stop me too, isn’t that right?”

Nero and Light looked at each other, nodded and walked towards him angrily. Ganondorf could see from the corner of his eye that Link was getting the Light arrows. Link threw the arrows to Light. But it was too late to throw the bow. Ganondorf had made a barrier with only Ganondorf and the two foreigners.

“Finally. Good enough opponents. A demon and a l’cie. A demon who has no weaknesses but one. Isn’t that right?”

“And that would be?”

“The safety of others, isn’t it? Pitiful. With no weaknesses, you would’ve replaced that wretched Hylian straight away...”

“What’s your point?”

“Do you really want to know?”

“Not really.”

Ganondorf chuckled. His tainted magic was around him. He looked like he was dissolving. But it was the exact opposite. He was growing more. Into the shape of a beast, Nero and Light weren’t surprised. They just got ready.

“Wow,” she said. “Should’ve seen it coming.”

“Yeah, I’m used to it. I’ve seen humans transform into demons.”
