Ganondorf and Link ---->

Chapter 9 - Weaknesses and the Past

Gathered in the grand hall, only Dante looked in the mood of talking. Everyone else stayed silent.

He frowned. “What happened last night?”

Link looked confused. “I…I think I had a dream about Ganondorf. It was absolutely…freaky because the person I was was a young boy dressed in green just like me. But I never met Ganondorf before killing him. The thing was that he was after a girl and a woman on a white horse. The girl, she looked a lot like Zelda.”

Zelda’s eyes widened. “Is that what you dreamt of? I dreamt the same! But I was the girl who threw the Ocarina towards you.”

Link looked like he was in shock. “Give it to me.”

Zelda hesitantly gave it to him. “Don’t play it.” She warned. “My ancestor…” she stopped in realisation. “My ancestor gave this to a boy in green to save Hyrule. My dad told me he was the Hero of Time.”

Link, who was standing, sat down. “Did she teach him a song? Called the Song of Time?”

“Yeah.”

“Just a coincidence,” Lightning frowned. “I had a dream too. But I'm sure it means nothing.”

Serah looked at her. "Might as well spit it out. Come on, come on!" She smiled.

She sighed at Serah's persistancy. “I dreamt about a group of people with a summoner. I think the others were her guardians. They were talking about something called Sin and how they could defeat it. Two of the guardians tried to stop her from killing it because if she summoned the one to kill Sin, she would die too. I was……the summoner. They said they had to go to a holy place where all of this began for the first time.”

Serah’s eyes widened. “Zanarkand?” Lightning nodded. “I dreamt the same! Only I was the girl who tried to stop her. The summoner. I guess you.” Lightning was shaken.

They all turned to Nero. He sighed. “I’m sure none of you dreamt the same as me. I dreamt of…” He put his hand on his head. “I dreamt of Sparda. But…in the flesh. He wanted to say something to me but I didn’t understand exactly what he was saying.” He closed his eyes and spoke in a different language which spooked Zelda.

“Seriously, stop,” she whispered.

Nero continued to speak in the same language in a whisper.

Dante started thinking. His face was serious. “How could he have said that?”

“What did he say?” asked Nero.

“It was about your brother…what you did.”

“What did you do?” asked Serah.

“He wanted to arrest me. He turned into this demon looking angel and I defeated him. He helped me before his death. He sacrificed himself…for me.”

Nero looked away. He stayed silent. Dante repeated what Nero said to Vergil.

Vergil was confused. “Who’s Credo?”

Dante shook his head, telling Vergil not to say anything. It was too late.

Nero turned. “The person who looked after me after my family abandoned me.”

Vergil looked ashamed. Dante took over. “So I guess the past is coming back.”

Link stood back up again. “I can’t stop thinking about one line. ‘A death will occur to one who was dead.’ Nobody was resurrected from us, right?”
