Chapter 29 - Evacuations

Nero opened his blue eyes. He saw three weapons in his body, Yamato by his neck, Dante and Light on one side and Vergil, Fang and Serah on the other. Fang and Vergil had their feet on his Devil Arm and Dante and Light had held his human hand down. They smiled at him and stood up. They took the weapons out of his body and Serah got him up.

She gave him his sword. “Wow. That’s heavy!” she smiled, trying to cheer him up from his shock.

He didn’t say anything. He looked behind the others. Five figures were standing there in a line. The one on the end was an old man in orange robes. The one next to him was a little girl who looked the age of ten or eleven, dressed in green clothes with green hair. A huge Goron stood next to her, smiling at them. The one next to him was dressed in orange with orange hair. The woman on the end was wearing blue and had red eyes.

Vergil was astonished. “You are…the sages, aren’t you?”

“Absolutely,” replied the old man. “I am Rauru, the Hylian sage. Sage of the Temple of Light.”

The girl in green jumped up. “I’m Saria! The Kokiri sage of the Forest and the Forest Temple too!”

The Goron chuckled at her. “Darunia. The Goron sage of the Fire Temple.”

The orange haired woman bowed. “Nabooru. The Gerudo sage of the Desert and the Spirit Temple.”

“I am Impa,” the woman folded her arms. “The Sheikah sage of the Shadow Temple.”

“How are you here?” asked Dante.

“You are in the place where we all gathered to lock the Evil King of Power in the Twilight Realm. But we lost a sage in the process. We lost the Zora Royal Highness, Queen Rutela while trying to save this world. We sensed evil here and not only that, you, Dante, summoned us by mentioning the Temple of Time. Just in time too. He would’ve used more power to set free.”

“I did? That’s pretty lucky.”

Fang pushed him out of the way. “Wait, Queen Rutela? As in Prince Ralis’ mother?”

“That’s the one,” answered Impa. She looked at Vergil. “You look like you have a question in mind.”

“Yes. Nero’s memory. It was the cure. Then how did you make him normal again?”

Rauru sighed. “Our power together binds evil and locks it away. The evil is then replaced by light which helps the person or place recover if they wish to.”

“Is the evil still in him?”

“No. But he will have a little memory loss and shock. Which is why he isn’t speaking to any of you. The weapons in him must’ve caused the shock.”

Saria giggled. “You need to save the kingdom, don’t you? Well, this will ease your minds!”

The little green sage took out a small ocarina and began playing a cheery tune. Darunia smiled and started to dance. Nabooru was laughing at him. Impa was standing next to Saria with no expression on her face. Rauru walked towards Nero who was sitting quietly on the edge of the entire building.

“I’ve watched you this entire journey.” His voice made Nero jump. “You should stay the way you were. It kept the others certain of what they are doing. This silence is making them worry.”

Nero looked at Rauru, then back at the horizon. “I see images of them attacking me. Is this what they did to me while I was under that dark spell?”
