Lightning! ------>
Chapter 4 - The Huntress
The woman pointing the gun at Nero wore a brown turtleneck-like shirt under a sleeveless white overcoat and a green metallic pauldron with yellow stripes on her left shoulder. She also wore a red cape attached to her back on the left side, knee-high leather boots, a brown mini-skirt over high topped black shorts and she had a black case that hung off her belt, along with a red pack strapped to her left leg. She had long, light pink hair and pale aqua-coloured eyes. She also had two black bands around her right bicep.
The princess and Link turned around. They were both amazed.
“Put your guns down now,” ordered the princess. “I won’t tolerate two people killing each other.”
“Your Highness, you don’t know this man! He’s a-” The woman stopped.
“What? What am I? What do you think you know but I don’t?”
“You’re a demon. The likes of you aren’t welcome anywhere except hell.”
“A demon? You don’t know anything about me! How can you just assume that I’m a demon?” Nero argued.
“How can I assume that? You!” She indicated to Link. “Roll up his right sleeve. That proves it!”
Nero stared at the woman, then at Link, who was hesitating to come forward. Slowly, he rolled up Nero’s sleeve. His transformed arm, both red and blue, glowed. His fingers were longer than his left and the tips of his fingers were sharp. Nero put his sleeve down quickly. The woman took a shot for Nero’s head. The princess and Link looked away. Instead of hearing a bullet going through skin and blood, they heard a clang. The bullet hit a thin sword; a katana wielded by a man next to Nero. Another man put his guns up at the woman.
Nero looked at them in surprise. “Dante! How did you get here?” he exclaimed and turned to look at the other man. “Who are you?”
“Nero, this is Vergil. My brother. I told you about him remember?”
“Oh yeah. Nice to meet you.”
Dante and Vergil looked like twins. With the same blue eyes and white hair as Nero, they both wore different colours. Dante wore a red trench coat and Vergil wore a blue one but his had three tails and a snake like pattern on the right side of his jacket. They both wore black tops and trousers and Vergil had his hair swept back instead of brushed down like Dante. Vergil looked like the older twin.
“You…What do you want from Nero?” Vergil asked calmly.
“His death. And now yours too.”
Link again looked away. He didn’t know what to do.
The princess stepped next to the woman. “Why are you even trying to kill them?”
The woman stared at her. “You already know this. I kill demons. These three are demons. I guess you should know what happened to my sister. She was killed by demons!”
“Look, whoever you are, we aren’t demons!” Dante explained.
“Not at all. We are devils. Half human, half demon,” Vergil continued.
“Half demon. You’re still part demon so you three need to die.”
“Why?” Nero questioned. “Why is it so necessary to kill us?”
“My sister died. And you’re telling me that you don’t know the reason yet?”
“Who are you?”
The princess stepped between the guns. “Please. Is this really what you want? Avenge your sister by killing three people who didn’t even know who she was?”
