Chapter 34 - Peace in Hyrule
Serah sat with Zelda in the room while she stayed unconscious. She walked back and forth wondering what the others were doing and when Zelda would wake up. She looked at Zelda and then walked out of the room to look at the wreckage of the hall.
Zelda opened her eyes. She saw Serah leaving the room to the hall. She closed her eyes as she heard Serah’s footsteps.
“Serah?” she called.
“Yeah. You’ve missed quite a lot. Open your eyes.”
Zelda sat up. “What happened?”
“To put it briefly, Ganondorf’s dead. Light and Nero killed him!”
Zelda turned to Serah. “What? That means…”
“Means what?”
She smiled nervously. “It’s fine. It doesn’t matter.”
“Too late! Spit it.”
Zelda tried changing the subject. “Spit it? Where’d you get that from? It’s meant to be spill it.”
Serah’s face was red. “That’s what I meant. Spit it out!”
“I think Ganondorf’s Triforce of Power may have been absorbed into Nero and Light. The only way to make sure is to bring the two of them and Link back to me.”
Ryan rejected the idea. “No. No, it’s not true. I’m normal. A human!”
“I wish I could tell you that,” Rauru assured. “But the original Water Sage, Queen Rutela of the Zoras, picked you to take her place.”
The crowd had already started to go back. Midna put her hand on Ryan’s shoulder. “Only one way to find out. Portal or sage magic?”
“Portal.”
“Come on then guys.”
Nero, Dante and Light stopped. “We should go to Zelda,” spoke Light. “Odin.”
To Ryan’s pleasure, the energy of her magic was enough to call the white horned knight. Lightning nodded to it and Odin turned into a horse.
“Actually, Dante, I’d like to go instead,” said Link. “Zelda is my top priority and I shouldn’t have left her alone.”
“That’s fine,” replied Dante. “I’ll go with the others instead of you.”
Link, Light and Nero got onto Odin who galloped towards the crowd really fast. Just as it got nearer, Lightning made him fly up which raised Ryan’s expectations.
“Wow,” he said. “That’s amazing.” He turned to Midna. “Where are we going?”
“To the Mirror Chamber where the sages stay to guard the Mirror of Twilight.”
Midna made the portal and the sages disappeared into the sky. Ryan followed by Fang, Dante and Vergil walked through the portal and they appeared in the same place where they fought Dark Nero.
“Bad memories here as well as good ones,” mumbled Vergil.
“This’ll be another good one, bro!”
Everyone looked up to the broken insignia. It began to glow blue then white. Ryan, instinctively, lifted his left hand to the insignia. A bright blue ray hit the symbol from Ryan’s hand which fixed it together. Ryan was truly a sage.
