Midna and Link(in wolf form) ----->
Chapter 10 - So it begins...
After being sucked into a portal of magic, Zelda stood looking at her castle. It was covered in dark twilight clouds and there was nothing she could do. Again.
The only person that spoke was Midna. “Oh great. Just great! What’s going on, Zelda?”
“Ganondorf is back. Again.”
“That explains why I’m an imp again. I don’t want anything to be exactly the same as last time…” she looked down.
“Don’t worry. It definitely won’t be. We’re here.”
Midna looked up. The woman that spoke smiled. There was another woman and three men. She looked blankly at them all.
One of the men stepped forward. “You must be wondering who we are. I’m Nero.” He indicated to the man in the red. “This is Dante.” He pointed at the man in blue. “That is Vergil.”
The woman that smiled took over. “I’m Lightning. And this is my sister, Serah.” She walked over to Zelda. “I’m sure you know the princess.”
“Of course. She sacrificed herself for me. For the sake of Hyrule.”
“Don’t worry. That won’t be necessary.” Nero’s voice was firm and confident. He turned to Lightning and Serah. “I know it’s not the right time, but we need to know your past.”
Lightning stared at them all. “Okay. I turned into a l’cie when-”
“She came to save me and I turned to crystal,” said Serah. “It was my fault.”
“No it wasn’t, Serah. It was Barthandelus. He fooled us all.” She looked back to the others. “Our own government was against us. Two people from our team got taken by the Sanctum to be executed. We went to save them and challenge the Primarch. He turned out to be a Fal’cie in disguise called Barthandelus. He told us our focus, what we had to do to become crystal, was meant to be bringing the death of Cocoon. We refused it and we fought him instead. He met us again in Oerba, a place on Gran Pulse. He still insisted on making us do our focus. We fought him again to show we weren’t going to do it. After trying to defeat him, he gave us a plane to get us back to Cocoon. On reaching Cocoon, we used our eidolons, like Odin, to prevent the government getting to us. We saw an army getting to the heart of Eden, the capital of Cocoon. We had to stop it. But they were Barthandelus’ ploy to get us into Orphan’s cradle. Orphan is the battery of Cocoon. The Fal’cie that keeps it in the air. Sadly, we killed it but one of us turned into Ragnarok and turned to crystal when Cocoon was falling. We destroyed and saved Cocoon. So when we see it, you’ll see what we’ve done.”
There was silence. At that same moment, twilight covered the land of Hyrule.
Midna turned to the castle and whispered, “We need as much help as we can get. How will we be able to get it if they’re all spirits?!” Link turned into a wolf. He looked like a regular wolf with blue eyes. It was different.
Zelda finally turned around and smiled. “If Link is a wolf, then they should be spirits.”
Midna turned around, absolutely shocked.
“This time you’re not alone,” Nero smiled and showed her his arm.
“You got that right,” Dante and Vergil said together.
“Absolutely,” Lightning called out. Serah showed her the l’cie brand. “We’re not completely human. All of us. So, I guess we’re not spirits.”
Link howled.
Serah was confused. “Can he not talk like that?”
“Of course not!” Midna scoffed. “He isn’t a magical wolf.”
