Spring Yen

Time for winter to take flight

Want to feel a warm spring night

Watch my garden fill with green

Take a walk in cutoff jeans

Dangle toes in clear blue stream

Lay in shade and review dreams

Fly a kite with little ones

Watch ears flop as puppy runs

Spot spring blooms on nature walk

Listen for the red-tailed hawk

Sit down on dark river's shore

Watch a kayak's flashing oar

Have a picnic in small park

Play baseball until it's dark

Watch full moon rise over knoll

Take a late night lover's stroll
