To blond haired boy on walk with grandma
who pulls seed heads from garden flowers
To runner who pounds by my garden
flushing goldfinches feeding on seeds
To tyke in stroller pushed by mother
fingers pointing out colorful blooms
To cats who squabble over catnip
to decide who will get to roll first
To skippers who sip flower's nectar
and create a magical vision
To brown gray lizard who feasts on bugs
and skitters across my front sidewalk
To hummingbird's flight just after dawn
that creates an enchantment for eye
Thank you for stopping by my garden
to share the joy a garden provides
