Tiny snowflakes falling down
Rush to coat our little town
Hear snow shovels in driveway
Neighbor's kindness makes my day
Gray squirrel leaps along fence row
Up above caws of black crow
Cars in driveway, quiet street
Town moves at a slower beat
Snow has changed to large white flakes
Drifting down on frozen lake
Hear loud crack in sheet of ice
Lake releases icy vise
Folks are nestled in their homes
Daylight fades in winter gloam
Smoke curls from brick chimney tops
Fire blazes as wood pops
