Cold Passion

Cold

She bites my nose

And nips my toes

I want to hide

And stay inside

But when she blows

And white snow glows

I must step out

And twirl about

As snowflakes fall

I feel her thrall

Held in Cold's bliss

I feel her kiss

As bare trees sleep

And snow piles deep

Dark night begins

I must step in

At window sill

I watch until

Full moon is high

And I ask why

I fear Cold's clutch

Her icy touch

A clear entice

Her glaze of ice

To stop and view

My passions stew

She clears my head

Of winter dread

Her blanket white

It holds me tight

And as I dream

Cold, she will scheme

Of new delights

Ease winter's blights
