A sneaker crisis reigns
My old shoe lace has died
Removed the old shoe reins
Thread new pair through shoe eyes
And then my eyes behold
Old leather cracked and frayed
My sneakers have grown old
It's time to face shoe fade
But one more job awaits
Before old sneakers tossed
They walk green garden gaits
Until the next cold frost
And when last job is done
To garden they will go
And have a little fun
Shoe pot where flowers grow
