Cleome standing straight and tall
Flowers round like kid's softball
Prickly thorns along your stem
Blossoms are a fragile gem
Waving in warm summer breeze
Favorite of swift tiny bees
Pink and white and violet hues
Color splash for garden views
Hummingbirds in early morn
Drinking nectar while airborne
Spider flower common name
Deer don't like your prickly frame
Goldfinches crave tiny seeds
Burst from flowers in stampedes
Frighten joggers thumping by
Laughter in my sparkling eye
