Poor Skylar had to go through a very stressful spring break, so we promised her we'd make it up to her. I just dropped her off at school and picked up some breakfast for me and my lovely lady while we prepare for work with our wonderful son. "What'd you bring me?" She giggles looking at the bag and nodding. "He's changed and ready to go." She smiles while he starts to jump over, he can't walk, only jump and run oddly enough. Walking just isn't something he can figure out, when he moves slowly he just falls and gets confused and stuck which makes him cry pretty much every time. "Hello baby." She smiles swooping down to grab him. "Hello." She kisses his cheek.
"Good morning my beautiful boy, good morning." I smile taking him into my arms. Today is my day to have him in my office. When Cameron has a lot of work thats piled up my dad brings her into his office and she works with him up there. I however get to watch the baby. Lucky for me he loves the baby carrier. "Who's excited for work?" I smile and he giggles. "Who's excited for work!" I smile while he kicks.
"Grab the carrier and lets go, I've got the car running." She smiles taking him and heading out. I gave everything I'd need at my office except the stupid carrier. He even has a crib. Skylar has a bunch of toys there too, and when her school is over Sierra will be picking her up and bringing her back to my office where she'll hang out with me and her brother until her mamas work is done.
"I have no paperwork, mines all software problems and rookies making mistakes, how about you?" I press a kiss against her lips, I always bring her to my dads office, every single time.
"All paperwork, piles and piles of paperwork." She smiles kissing me again.
"My dad will help you, he really likes you." I laugh and she smiles.
"Good, I worked hard for this." She chuckles back kissing me again before kissing our baby boy. We always meet up for lunch and go down to my littler officer downstairs so we can both catch up and sleep. My lunch lasts as long as I want so long as my work is mostly complete and her lunch is about three hours because she saves up all of her break time too. Plus my dad gives her an extra hour because he likes her so much. "Goodbye baby," She kisses our boys head while I wave to my father. "I will see you in a few hours." She smiles pressing another kiss onto my lips.
"Have fun," I chuckle sending myself back down once floor to my office. My dads is the whole top floor, mine is half of the one beneath his.
"Shawn," Sierra jumps a little when she sees me. "Me and Matt were thinking that maybe we could take Skylar our tonight with us, because." She stops and suddenly so do I, she's got me all worried. "We're engaged and we want her to be our flower girl." She smiles at me and I can't help but smile back. I was so bitter before, but honestly everyone on this floor is so nice and they're great people so when Skylar was born I started talking to them more and I fixed some of the work quality issues they complained about and everyone is finally happy. The ones here at least.
"Congratulations baby girl." I smile hugging her tightly. "Does Cameron know?"
"Yeah I told her when he proposed, she was like the first person I called." She giggles and I nod.
"Go ahead, just have her home before bed time she wanted to talk to us about something." I chuckle and she nods.
"Thank you." She pecks my cheek and I nod bouncing my baby boy down the hallway. He'll wanna walk soon enough but so long as he's calm I'll keep him in here, it makes my life easier.
"Look at everyone," I smile at him, he's all shy because of all of the new people. Every single woman on this floor gathered around me when they started to see him. "Can we say hi?" I kiss his little head and he hides himself away. "Hi?" I bounce making him giggle.
"I hear my grand baby's laugh." My mother smiles walking closer, she kisses my cheek softly and takes the boy from the carrier I have him strapped in.
"Mom," I whine following her down the hall. "Come on he's the only company I've got." I huff and she chuckles.
"Let's go to daddy's office." She smiles carrying the boy who giggles, laughing every time I get closer. "Lovey's gonna stay and play with you." She smile kissing his chubby little cheek. "Because lovey is bored."
"Dad isn't giving you any work?" I chuckle and she shakes her head.
"Him and Cameron are doing it all together." She shrugs setting my baby boy down. "He likes spending that time to get to know her. She's mine every afternoon." She giggles and I smile sitting myself at my desk.
"Morning Shawn," Lucy smiles walking in. "Morning Mrs. Mendes." She smiles handing my mother a coffee and me the list of things I have to do today. "You've got a meeting in two hours and someone from the Mississauga office is gonna come and discuss their issues with you or something like that." She shrugs a little. "You can't fall in love with that one ok?" She teases and I roll my eyes.
"I already have mine," I chuckle. "Speaking of my love," I smile while Cameron walks in.
"What are we talking about?" She sits in my lap scanning my desk for whatever she needs. She has her desk too but it never seems to be as interesting as mine.
"Someone from Mississauga is coming for a meeting." Lucy explains while I kiss her neck all over.
"You're not allowed to fall in love again." She teases turning and pressing a kiss against my lips.
"And as I said before, I already have my love." She smiles down at me and I smile back up at her.
"Good answer."
