Chapter 1: A Typical Morning
                              >Aleksi<
"Aleksi! Get down here this instant!" I groaned as my uncle's yell echoed around my room.
                              "Coming!" I yelled back.
                              "You better."
Yep. That's how a typical day in the life of Aleksi Riverwind begins. At least for the past few years.
Ever since my hometown, Nuvema Town, was destroyed in Team Plasma's conquest of Unova, I've lived with my uncle. Who, I might add, is a total jerk.
"Umbree?" Dusk-he's the only other survivor of the Nuvema Town conquest and my faithful Pokémon pal-jumps onto my bed.
"I'm coming, Dusk! Getoff!" I playfully shove him off my bed-well, mattress to be exact.
My uncle didn't want to put up with me, so he decided to feed me as little as possible and make me sleep in his smelly closet.
I slipped on a blue t-shirt with a white PokéBall design in a top corner, white jean shorts, my PokéBelt, black socks and white riding boots. I opened the closet door and bumped into something.
Oh great. The something just happened to be my uncle's-he makes me call him"sir"-Pyroar.
I can describe Pyroar in one word. Wimpy. I have beaten Pyroar in countless battles but "sir" claims I cheated and locks me up in that closet. I quickly sidestepped Pyroar and walked into the kitchen, where "sir" was waiting.
"You're late. Therefore, no breakfast." he snaps. He has a big plate piled with fruit, sausage, bacon, and my favorite, cheesy scambled eggs with pepper on top.
                              I opened the refrigerator door.
"I said, no breakfast! Now get out of this house and go to school!"
"Yes, but you only said I couldn't have breakfast. Therefore, I will eat lunch." I smirked as I pulled a sandwich out of the refrigerator, then took a big bite out of it.
"I'll head to school now. Thanks for the sandwich!"
I ran out the door before his tiny little brain could register what happened. I took a can of Pokéfood out of my backpack and opened it.
"Dusk, here's some-YIPES!!!" Dusk and I dove onto the sidewalk to get away from the limousine, while throwing the Pokéfood into the air. Shame. It stopped in front of us, and an angry butler stepped out of the car and started yelling at us.
"Young lady, what do you and your Pokémon think you are doing!? You could have put Lady Soleil in danger!!"
"Soleil?! I know her! She's my friend from-"
"Nonsense! Stop your incoherent babbling immediately so I can-"
"Stop!" A girl stepped out of the back seat.
Soleil was the heir to the Cavenaugh family buisness. But Soleil liked Pokémon and loved to battle, battle, and battle.
                              She also hated dresses.
Her natural outfit was a red top, black leggings, flame patterned skirt, and sneakers.
She had a Skitty in her arms. Well, actually, it was a Zorua.
Long story. Basically, she found a Zorua, but her parents wanted her to have a Skitty. So, she had it shape-shift into a Skitty.
"Hi Aleksi! Do you have a ride?"
                              "No."
"Then how about you come with me? We've got plenty of room. Also, why in good Arceus's green earth are you eating a sandwich?" Soleil asked as we climbed into the limousine.
"He said I couldn't have breakfast, so I had lunch." I replied. Soleil laughed.
                              "Aleksi, nice one!"
"Thanks. I've never been in a limousine before. Which reminds me." I opened a can of Pokéfood and set it on the seat.
"Dusk, time to eat!" I called.
"Umbreon!" Dusk stuck his nose into the can and started munching.
"Yeah. Although I'd prefer to ride my bike to the trainer school in Santalune."
"So how come you're riding in the limousine?" I asked.
                              Soleil's eyes turned stormy gray.
"Your uncle really is a jerk, isn't he? There have been strange attacks on unsuspecting tainers all over Kalos. There's been major power outages in large cities as well. The PokéBall factory in Laverre City was raided, and someone somehow managed to hack into the highly protected data system in the Pokémon research lab and steal a lot of valuable data." Soleil whispered, "And that's only the tip of the cheesecake. Last night at my parent's ball, I heard a bunch of rumors."
"Good or bad?" I asked. Naturally, I would get excited about news, but this? This sounded like danger.
"Bad. Some people stole blueprints of the MasterBall from the PokéBall factory. Professor Sycamore was kidnapped from the Research Lab in Lumiose City."
"Sounds like some sort of evil organization is doing this." I said.
"Thats what everyone thinks. The worst is, Diantha has disappeared, and... and some people believe the Elite Four have gone over to the enemy."
                              "WHAT!?!?!?" I screeched.
"Shh! Yeah. The gym leaders are rebelling though. They're having a spot of trouble now." Soleil pulled out a newspaper.
"Look at this. In Shalour City, Lumiose City, and Santalune City, the gyms were trashed and the gym leaders were found unconscious."
"So that's Korrina, Clemont, and Viola!?" I said.
                              "Yeah. They were-"
"I'm sorry to intrude on your conversation, Lady Soleil, but we have arrived at the Santalune Trainer School."
