Chapter 18: Monorail Incident

Latios landed just outside of Coumarine City.

"Thanks. Return." I tapped his head with his purple PokéBall, then looked down at my belt.

Dusk didn't need his PokéBall, so I left it at my uncle's house. Hidden, of course.

Shadow, Flame, and Thunder looked up at me from their PokéBalls.

I sighed.

Stupid Aleksi! What were you thinking!? Now you've probably lost your only friend!

So? A quitter like that doesn't DESERVE to be my friend.

I stormed off towards the east side of the city.

That didn't erase the doubts in my head,  though.

"WHAT!?!? I have to take a monorail to the other side of town?" I complained.

"I'm sorry, that's the only way to get there. Would you like to get on?" The lady asked.

"... Fine." I quickly paid, then hopped on the small car.

Quite a few people were on the car. I managed to nab a seat by the window, next to a woman with a black half top with long sleeves and a green hood over it, biege shorts, and green hiking boots.

She gave me a curious look.

"Huh?" I asked.

"Oh! Nothing. I apologize." She exvlaimed quickly.

I pulled out my PokéDex and started messing around with it.

It was in the shape of a square, and it was white and blue. At the touch of a button, it would expand, and a holographic screen would appear in betwern the 2 rectangles. Honestly, it doesn't get any more high-tech than this.

I sat there reading the entries for whatever Pokémon my finger landed on.

All of a sudden, an explosion sounded ouside of the car, and it stopped.

"What's going on!?" A few people yelled.

Then the window on the other side smashed apart.

"Hahaha!! This is turning out to be quite entertaining."

A man stepped into the wreckage with a Blastoise behind him.

"AAAHHH!!!!!!" Quite a few people screamed.

The woman next to me leaped up, and kicked the emergency door open.

Luckily, we weren't too far from the monorail station.

People instantly started running out, and the car emptied until it was only me, the woman, and the man.

Siebold. Water Master of the Kalos Elite 4.

"Hm? What are you doing here?" He demanded.

"I had an appointment, but defeating you will also be a good cause!" The woman yelled.

"Um... Who are you?" I yelped, pinning myself against the wall.

"This might get dangerous. Be careful if you want to stay here!" The woman said to me.

"I see you've not lost your flair since we last met, eh?" Siebold smirked.

Siebold knew this person?

"And I never will. Go, Turtwig and Roserade!!"The woman yelled, flinging 2 PokéBalls.

Out of one popped a turtle-like Pokémon with a sprout sticking out of its head.
