Chapter 33: Fight for Kalos- Part 7

I bolted up in my bunk with a yelp. Dusk leaped and hit his head on Soleil's bed.
"Huh?" Valerie looked over in surprise.
"Oh. Hey." I groaned. "Where's Soleil?"
"I think she's in the common room, last I checked. It's kinda noisy out there."
"Soleil LIVES for noisy situations." I replied, dragging myself out of the bed wearily. Dusk trotted after me.
The thing that Tate had given me in that wierd dream vision was in my pocket, so I had no idea what was going on.
"Aleksi! Hey!" Soleil called, albeit with a strained voice.
"What was going on?" I demanded.
"A sorta kinda war meeting."
"WHAT HAPPENED?" I yelled. Soleil, Zorua, and Dusk winced.
"Err... Team Flare found the hiding place of Zygarde... Already... AND.... They've awakened it..."

"This is NOT GOOD." Iris mumbled under her breath.
"Ya think? Those darn Team Flare dolts are one step ahead of us! If we're gonna stop 'em, we're gonna have to take the fight TO them!" One of the other gym leaders snapped.
"Clay... Quit it." Flannery moaned glumly.
"What are we going to do now? They've got the ultimate weapon, Zygarde, and chances are, they're going to get Yveltal and Xerneas." Karen said.
"We need either Xerneas or Yveltal to get on our side. If the power is imbalanced, their plans will fail, as it's my assumption that their plans require all 3 legendaries to succeed." Bertha replied calmly.
"That's true I suppose. But how are we going to get either of them on our side, let alone turn the ti- Aleksi, what's in your pocket?" Liza yelped.
"Uh... Something Tate wanted me to give to you...?" I stuttered, pulling it out and handing it to her. She grabbed it and pulled it open, barely missing Dusk's head.
A single rainbow colored shard lay on top of a note that read:
"You know what to do, Liza. Good luck. - Tate."
"What is that...?"
"Something we found when we encountered Xerneas when we were younger... It's a shard of Xerneas's horn."
"No 'ffence, but you 2 seemed to run into legendaries a lot." Wallace stated.
"I don't see what's so important about i- Huh?"
I'd reached for it, and when my hand got close to it, it began glowing.
"What the-!?" I pulled my hand back as Dusk leaped up. I hoped he didn't bash it to pieces.
Oops.
Everyone was staring at me.
"What?"
"It... glowed..." Liza began.
"Elaborate, please?" I protested. Soleil nodded urgently, because everyone else seemed to know what was going on. Even Dusk and Zorua looked confused.
"Ahem!" Clemont began.
"If someone w-"
"NO, CLEMONT!!" Korrina yelped.
Both Soleil and I gave her a confused look. She glared back at us.
"You're telling me you WANT to listen to a four-hour lecture with PowerPoint included?"
"No."
"Good. Liza, explain."
"It's not really something I can explain very well... But technically speaking, it'll be your mission alone to confront Xerneas."
"Oh, is th- WHAATT!?" I screeched.
"Beg pardon?" Soleil cut in increduloulsy. "You know you are asking an eleven year old girl to complete a near suicide mission, correct?"
"Look, it's not our choice." Flannery interjected. "We don't control X-"
BAM
Phoebe stumbled in, her arm dangling at her side.
"Phoebe!! What the heck is going on!?" Agatha yelled.
"It's Team Flare. They're fighting in Geosenge, and Zygarde is with them."
