I couldn't believe it.
And seeing Soleil didn't help matters.
Her eyes were closed, and her jacket was charred. The tips of her hair were burnt.
"Soleil... I'm sorry... I couldn't... Save you in time..."
My only answer was a breeze.
Bonnie was still sobbing about Clemont, who'd been poisoned by a Toxic attack.
Yveltal and Xerneas had managed to get Zygarde under control, and they were looming up behind the Hunter Twins' airship.
Where the Twins had gone, we had no idea.

"She fought until the very end, Aleksi. You should be proud to call her your friend.
I couldn't stop it.
"Soleil... Why!? Why did you have to go and leave me!?"
The scenes from 6 years ago flashed in my mind.

"NO!!" I wheeled on them furiously, tears spilling from your eyes. "WHY COULDN'T YOU HAVE HIDDEN YOURSELVES BETTER!? WHY DIDN'T YOU TRY TO RESIST!? THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!! MY MENTOR WAS THE FIRST TO DIE BECAUSE YOU COULDN'T RESIST OR HIDE!! YOU JUST WAITED FOR IT TO PLAY OUT!! YOU KILLED THE ELITE FOUR AND EVERYONE ELSE!! YOU KILLED MY FRIEND!!! WHY COULDN'T YOU HAVE AT LEAST TRIED!?!?"

'Yveltal, stop. The girl is right. Perhaps if we had hidden ourselves better, or tried to resist, or perhaps rally the other Pokémon to our aid... Perhaps we could have avoided this massacre. I am truly and sincerely sorry.' Xerneas bowed her head.

Xerneas looked at Yveltal and Zygarde, probably communicating telepathically.

"But what?" I snapped bitterly.

With that, Xerneas raised her head. Her horns began glowing. A brilliant rainbow colored light and aura filled Geosenge.
It felt... Calm... Welcoming... Comforting...
It blinded my eyes as it grew more intense.

'You will see, little one.'

I didn't know how much time had passed before Xerneas lowered her head.
'It is done.'
"What do you me-"
"WHAAAT!?"
"B-bonnie...?"
"C-clemont!?!?"

I lifted my head up in shock.
'Xerneas!?'
The 3 legendaries were gone, but a thought floated into my mind.
'This is my final gift to you. I thank you for saving us... Aleksi Riverwind. We will meet again, perhaps?'
"Hey, Aleksi. How have you been doing?"
I whirled around.
"Viola!?"
"Yep, camera and all!" She grinned. "I see you completed your task."
"With a lot of help." I said wearily.
"I assume you figured out Latios was in that PokéBall, correct?"
"I also figured out you gave me the Bug Badge and Elise was your niece."
"Haha! Surprised?"
"I could say tha-"
"OI, ALEKSI!! FORGETTING SOMEONE!?"
Soleil ran up, smirking.
"S-soleil!?"
"Back from the dead, yeah. It's kinda wierd, you know? One moment alive, then dead, then alive again."
"Die on me again, and I will personally go and kick your butt."
"Yeah, but I'd be dead. How'd you accomplish that?"
I tried to kick her, but she dodged.
Tate and Liza were chatting animatedly with Lucian, Will, Sabrina, and Caitlin.
Chili had met up with his brothers, and Lorelei was laughing with Misty and Janine.
Winona was grouped with Skyla while Bugsy, Falkner, and Morty were goofing around.
Everone who had died...
They'd been brought back.
Everyone who had supported me and helped win the battle.
Something tapped my shoulder.
"AAAAAAGGGGHHHH!!"
That was Iris.
"Um... Iris...?" I said.
"Choo isn't that scary, is he? I mean, sure, he's a Beartic, but still!"
"What kinda name is CHOO!?"
"He WAS a Cubchoo, after all."
I whirled around in shock.
A girl, around the same age as me, was standing behind me with a Beartic. The girl had green eyes and caramel-brown hair, and was wearing a blue headband, yellow scarf, white tank top, denim jacket, jeans, and black high-tops.
"E-EMMA!?!?"
"Back from the dead!"
"B-but-!"
"I helped, didn't I?"
"I-I..."
Both of my best friends. One dead in the Nuvema Town massacre, one dead in the Kalos War.
Both of them back.
Now, there was the problem of hoping they would get along.
"So, er... Introductions...? Emma, this is Soleil Cavenaugh."
Soleil nodded, and Zorua barked.
"And Soleil, this is Emmalise-"
"EMMA!!"
"Emmalise?"
