Chapter 20: Power Plant Problem: Part 2

Dusk and I sneaked around passageways, getting lost, running into dead ends, and fighting lots of grunts.

"Phew. Looks like we're at the entrance to the main power supply." I panted.

I had called out every Pokémon in my arsenal, excluding the new ones.

"Let's go!" I shoved open the doors, storming in, then stopping abruptly.

"Oops."

Team Flare grunts and Admins stared at me from all directions.

Next to the main power source, Aliana and Xerosic were staring at me with evil grins.

"So, you have done well to make it this far. Your mission ends here however!" Aliana snarled.

"Don't think so!" I yelled.

"Oh really? There are lots of us, and only one of you."

"So? Bring it on!" I grinned.

"GET HER!!" Xerosic yelled.

Mightyena, Crobat, Muk, Houndour, Houndoom, and more flew at me from all directions.

"Shadow! Latios! Flame! Thunder! Dusk! GO!!" I screamed.

After that, it was mayhem.

Dusk and Shadow raced through the tide of enemy Pokémon shooting attacks.

Dusk blasted a Tentacruel with Dark Pulse, and it went down. Shadow shot Psycho Cuts and Razor Winds in all directions.

Flame dive-bombed a pack of Mighyena with Brave Bird, then flew up and used Roost to heal. Then, he shot a powerful Fire Blast, incinerating a whole line of enemies.

Thunder unleased a Discharge attack, paralyzing everything around him. Then he leaped on a Crobat with Thunder Fang, and bit down on it hard. Both went tumbling into the crowd.

Latios was helping Flame with the dive-bombing. He swooped down, scattering enemies, then shot powerful Luster Purges and Dragon Pulses.

No one seemed to want to fight him.

However, no matter how many Pokémon me we defeated, more and more continued coming.

*Hah* *Hah* "Now what?" I muttered under my breath.

Then I remembered the 2 PokéBalls in the package.

'Hm...'

I didn't know if they'd listen to me, but at this point, I had no choice.

"Go!!!" I yelled, flinging them into the air.

Both opened and released a Pokémon.

One was a yellow, human & mustelid-like Pokémon

The other one was blue, and it looked like a penguin.

"Wow..." I gasped, pulling out my PokéDex.

"Mienfoo, the Martial Arts Pokémon. It takes pride in the speed at which it can use moves. What it loses in power, it makes up for in quantity."

"Prinplup, the Penguin Pokémon. It lives alone, away from others. Apparentely, every one thinks it is the most important."

Both looked back at me expectantly.

I quickly scanned the battlefield.

"Whirlpool, go help Thunder! Foofoo, help Dusk and Shadow!" I commanded.

Both leapt swiftly into the action.

Foofoo unleashed a fury of Focus Blasts, scattering the crowds. Whirlpool soaked all the enemies around him, which made them prime targets for Thunder's powerful electic attacks.

In no time, we had cleared a path.

"LATIOS!!" I yelled.

Latios flew by me and I took off towards the generator. Dusk, Foofoo, Thunder, Shadow, Whirlpool, and Flame blasted more enemies while following me.

Xerosic and Aliana looked up in shock.

"Malamar!!"

"Houndoom!!"

"Foofoo, Force Palm on Malamar!! Whirlpool, Bubble Beam on Houndoom!!" I yelled.

Foofoo enveloped her paw in white light and smashed it into Malamar. Whirlpool shot a blast of bubbles at Houndoom.

Both Pokémon went flying backwards, slamming into their trainers, who hit their heads on the wall and fell onto the floor, knocked out.

"Flame, Dusk, Shadow, Latios, Foofoo, and Whirlpool, contain them! Thunder, help me out!!" I leaped off Latios and took off towards the generator as they pressed against me. Thunder shot off anyone who got past the others.

"Thunder, let's power this thing back on! Thunderbolt!!" I yelled.

"Luxrayyyy!!" Thunder let loose a bolt of electricity and hit the generator.

"Come on, come on..." I muttered.

The lights snapped back on.

At the same time, somehow, all the grunts, admins, and even Aliana and Xerosic disappeared.

"They can teleport?" I asked myself out loud.

A group of people in lab coats ran in.

"Are you the one who started the Power Plant back up again?" One asked me.

"Um... Yes?" I replied hesitantly.

"Thank you very much! Now, we can fix the power outage in Lumiose City!"

"OK... I'm going now." I recalled everyone and headed outside. I pulled out my PokéGear.

It had taken me a day to get to Coumarine, because it was late afternoon when we left Shalour City. I'd spent another day here.

3 days left.

I wonder if Soleil's gotten to the other region yet, the coward.
