*3 Months Later*
My life has taken a complete 180 these last few months. Harry and I are no longer together, not that we really were in the first place. He never asked me to be his girlfriend. We would just go on dates, make out and hang out with our friends. But that all changed when he got an offer to study abroad in France. I knew it would be a great opportunity for him. It was very hard, he didn't want to leave but we both knew he would regret it if he didn't go. He's been gone for three weeks now.
Margaret is now dating a boy, his name is Matt and she's been spending most of her time with him, as I've been spending most of my time in my room when I'm not going to class.
I was sitting on the floor in my room with papers and books scattered all around me. Studying for finals is the worst. I was in middle of writing notes when suddenly, small water droplets appeared on the page, smudging the letters written in pen."What the?" I say out loud, looking up at the ceiling to see if there was a leak, thinking that may have been the cause, but nothing was there.
Looking back at the page, the water and smudges were gone. I set my pen down and stared at my notes, that were now back to normal. I couldn't have made that up. I couldn't have.
I decided to go for a walk into town, wanting to getting away from the four walls of my dorm and get some fresh air. As I walked down the main street of Derry I noticed a new missing child's poster, now covering the old one. Wasn't this the fourth kid missing this month?
As I was walking back down the hallway to my room with a bag full of fries and a burger from the diner in my hand, I noticed my door was slightly open. Fear rushed through my body and I immediately got out the pocket knife my father had gotten me for my birthday. I held it out and slowly inched my way to the door, shaking. I kicked the door open, waiting for someone to lunge out at me or run out, but nothing was there. I walked inside slowly, making sure to check every one of the four corners before exhaling. Nothing was stolen or moved, except one thing, my red raincoat was now laying on my bed and not in my closet where I had left it. It hadn't been raining in weeks. I turn around to my closet, seeing the doors were now open.
"Who's there?" I call out.
I tried to sound tough but that of course didn't happen, with my voice coming out shaky and rushed.
All I heard next was a low growling sound. "Is it an animal?" I thought, confused. My clothes began to move on their hangers and I my heart stopped, I've never been so frightened.
