I woke up to the sound of beeping and air being pushed into my nose. The white walls and blue curtain that surrounded me told me where I was.

The nurse came in, "Oh thank goodness you're awake." she was an older lady with greying hair and reading glasses.

"Am I in the hospital?" I croaked out.

"Yes dear, you had a nasty fall, you lost a lot of blood, i'll go get the doctor." she said as she left the room.

I looked outside the large window next to me, it was dark out now, I could even see a few stars in the skies. My head was throbbing and my chest hurt whenever I took a breath. I could see another bed in front of me, but there was a curtain pulled so I couldn't see the person who occupied it. My lips were chapped and mouth was dry, I picked up the cup that was sitting next to my bed and took a drink from the straw. The cold water hit my tongue and it felt amazing, I couldn't stop drinking. I set the cup back down and the doctor walked in.

"Miss (Y/L/N)" he sat down on the chair next to me. "So, it appears you have lost a lot of blood, you are fine now but you also experienced some head trauma and bruised a few of your ribs." he explained.

"How did I get here?" I interrupted him.

"A man dropped you off, saying you needed help." he said.

"Where is he?" I asked.

"When nurse Elise went to find him when you were stable... he was gone." he looked at me unapologetically.

I knew Penny wouldn't have stayed, he wasn't human, wasn't used to human interaction and also... a hospital is like a pool of fear and blood, not a place for him.

"How long until I can go home?" I asked.

"Well it should be in a couple days." he nodded.

"Miss-" he coughed, before moving to close the curtain.

"Are you aware that you're pregnant?"
