A simple college student in the small town of Derry, Maine finds her life turned upside down when she connects with an unusual being.

He sat up, looking forward, "I want to show you something."
"What?" I asked, sitting up too.
He grabbed our clothes off the floor and we dressed ourselves. He made his way over to the left door, opening it.
"In here" he held out his hand.
I hesitated.
"Do you trust me?" he asked.
I grabbed onto his hand and we entered the pitch black closet. Penny stood behind me and put his hands on my shoulders, guiding me forward. As we got closer I began to see a faint light, I looked at Penny, he looked back and smiled. The light became more clear and all of a sudden I felt pavement. I looked down to see my white converse were now contrasting against black concrete. I looked up, and right in front was a grand carousel, with tall pillars and lights that lit up the top. I gasped, seeing how beautiful it all was.
"Where are we?" I turned my head to Penny with my eyes still locked on the carousel.
"We're at the circus." he said smiling as he grabbed my hand.
He pulled me up onto one of the horses and he got onto the one next to me. The ride started and I couldn't help but feel like a kid again. I looked over to see a beautiful smile plastered across Penny's face. I just starred at him, grinning. I loved seeing him so happy, it made my heart jump in my chest.

We got off the ride and he grabbed my hand, leading us over to the cotton candy stand. He picked up some with his hand and handed it to me, it tasted like heaven. The rest of the night we ate popcorn, played games and he even won me a little stuffed clown. He handed it to me, making me giggle and I kissed him on the cheek. This had been the best night of my life.
"Well we must go." he said, walking off into the darkness.
I caught up with him, grabbed his hand and spun him around. I kissed him, putting my arms around his neck as his arms went around my waste.
"Thank you." was all I could say.
