April 29, 1974
The doors to the Hospital Wing open, and ANDROMEDA and ALASTOR barge in, each supporting an injured TED on either arm. POPPY rushes towards them.
POPPY: Over here, right over here-
She guides them to an empty bed, and they carefully lay TED down on it.
ANDROMEDA: (shakily) He was hit with a Stunning Spell- I don't know how many times- will he be okay- ?
POPPY: Your husband will be fine, Mrs. Tonks. I've treated patients far worse than this before.
ANDROMEDA: (gratefully) Thank you, Madame Pomfrey.
The door opens again, this time ushering in ALBUS and MINERVA.
ANDROMEDA: (standing up) Professor!
ALBUS: Ah, Madame Tonks. A shame we aren't meeting under better circumstances.
ANDROMEDA: I do apologize, Professor- I came as soon as I could-
ALBUS: We will be ever thankful for your valiant actions tonight, Andromeda. But I'm afraid, concerning your sisters, I must insist that you inform me of anything you know concerning their movements tonight.
ANDROMEDA: Of course, Professor. I'm afraid I don't know where they are, sir. I can't imagine Bellatrix would have gone back to Grimmauld Place-
ALBUS: And for your younger sister, Narcissa? Where exactly do her allegiances lie?
ANDROMEDA: With our family, sir. Narcissa will fight for her family until the day she dies. I doubt that she will ever take up the Dark Mark, but she won't ever leave Bellatrix's side.
ALBUS: I see. Thank you, Madame Tonks. I'll leave you to be with your husband now.
ANDROMEDA: Thank you, sir. (She sits back down next to TED'S still body, while ALBUS turns to MINERVA).
ABUS: Gather the Aurors in my office. We need to have a conference immediately.
MINERVA: Yes, Headmaster.
MINERVA opens the door to exit the hospital wing, but finds herself face to face with the Marauders.
MINERVA: What are you boys doing here so late?
SIRIUS: Is she here? (He sweeps past her and quickly scans the room before spotting his cousin) Andromeda!
ANDROMEDA: (standing up) Oh, Sirius!
The two cousins stand locked in a tight embrace. MINERVA glances at them before turning back to the others.
MINERVA: Sirius can stay for a little longer if he wants. But you lot get off to bed now, it's way past curfew-
JAMES: What happened tonight, Professor? Why are all these Aurors here- ?
MINERVA: All in due time, Potter. Off to bed, now. Let's go.
JAMES: But can't you just-
MINERVA: It's my final word, Potter. Off you go.
She continues to usher the boys down the corridor. REMUS and PETER walk quickly, whispering excitedly between themselves, while JAMES hesitates for a moment before running back to MINERVA and hugging her.
JAMES: Thank you, Professor.
MINERVA: (curiously) For what, Potter?
JAMES: Just- for everything. Thank you.
MINERVA: (smiling slightly) You're welcome, Potter.
She returns his hug, and together they make their way back to Gryffindor Tower.
