*Adrienne's POV*
Okay, so Royce said it wasn't a date but I was pretty sure it was. I mean, everyone and their mom knew at this point that Royce liked me.
Was it too soon for me though? Was Royce just a rebound? Was it too early to say that I might develop feelings for him too?
"And what are your plans for tonight, Mr. Rojas?". I got inside his silver Mercedes (A/N that's the car royce has right ? lol im a car fanatic I like to get stuff right) It was Sunday evening and I had just dropped of Marylin at Richie's.
Royce shrugged. "I dunno. Take you out to dinner. Somewhere simple. Nothing flashy."
"Hmm, simple?"
"Yeah. You don't like simple?", his voice was tinged with a little bit of worry.
"Actually, I prefer simple.", I told him.
I saw him relax a bit. "Good. Well, then we can just stop at whatever restaurant catches our eye. After all, simple to me is a synonym for 'no reservations'." He started the car back up.
I laughed. "If you're as much as a procrastinator as me, you'd know simple would also mean 'I never actually got around to making reservations'."
"She's on to me.", Royce said jokingly. He was a lot more laid back when he wasn't my boss, to be honest.
After about a half an hour, we decided on a little outdoor cafe. It was cute enough.
Surprisingly, there was never a dull moment. We had something to talk about the whole time. It was a change from Antonio, I had to admit. We usually struggled to hold a conversation that didn't involve the phrase "you're so cute" or anything along those lines. Sappy, I know.
As a matter of fact, Royce beginning to make me realize how materialistic that relationship actually was.
"I almost failed actually. Its cool though, now that I have one. I feel a little bad ass.", he said popping the collar of his jacket jokingly. He had just got done telling me about when he had gotten his motorcycle license.
I laughed. I never realized how great at holding a decent conversation he was.
I kept on noticing a dude starting in our direction, well mostly my direction, whenever his girlfriend, or whoever she was to him, wasn't paying attention. Stuff like that pissed me off. Like, he was blatantly looking at me and made no effort to hide it. Respect your relationship, man.
I tried to ignore it. I really couldn't get mad, especially now. I was in public and I i had severe anger issues. I blew up over the smallest things.
"Everything alright?", asked Royce.
I looked down to see my leg was shaking, so he was probably worried. "Yeah, yeah. Everything's fine."
The guys girlfriend went out to the bathroom or whatever and Royce was busy giving someone an autograph. I was suprised though. Less people noticed him in public than I thought.
"Psst."
I sighed. I knew who that was from the direction it was coming from.
"Pssssst."
"Ugh, what?", I turned around quickly.
The guy gestured to Royce. "That your man?"
I rolled my eyes. "No but isn't that your girlfriend who was sitting there?"
He shook his head. "Nah, just a friend. But could I get your number or
somethin'?"
"Whatever, I'm still not interested so no.", I said crossing my arms and turning back around.
