*Adrienne's POV*
I decided waiting on things and not jumping into relationships too fast was worth the wait.
Me and Royce kept "us" under wraps. We were the only ones who knew and we liked it that way. It was kinda cute anyway. Our little secret.
We had done a lot together at this point. We got incredibly closer. We actually even spent his 24th birthday together. I don't know with Royce I just felt... comfortable.
Royce hadn't really been busy lately. He spent a few weeks back in Miami but eventually came back. It was the beginning of July and he was anticipating the release of his new single. (A/N Yeah, he can't be in LVK in this story bc it would mess with my plot lol) He wouldn't tell me what song it was going to be, which I found weird. I've heard the whole album, what is there to hide?
I was at 2Strong today, waiting on him. So we didn't raise anymore attention, we came up with a plan. He'd pretend to pick me up, you know, so we could "work" and then slipped off somewhere. Yeah, it involved sneaking around a lot but in our eyes, it was worth it.
Antonio emerged from the rec room. "Uh, hey, Adrienne. Waiting on Royce?"
As for Antonio and I, we decided to suck things up. We were actually on speaking terms now and had realized how immature we were when it came to the whole break up situation. Like the rest of the world, I hadn't told him anything about me and Royce. I didn't want him to think I was some girl who could easily move on from guy to guy just like that. I really wasn't like that. It's just both of them sorta came into my life at the same time and at the right time and I didn't exaclty know to explain it.
I gave a smile. "Yeah. Promotional work today?"
He nodded as he made his way to the door. "Yup. So, I'm out for the day. I'll catch you later."
That's when Royce arrived.
"'Sup, Royce?"
"Wassup, Antonio? How you been?"
"I'm great, man. I see you've been doin' alright too?"
"Yeah. Yeah, I have. Thanks again. For all this."
"Least I could do, Royce. You deserve it." Antonio gave a nod before leaving.
"So, Adrienne.", Royce neared my desk. "You all set to go?"
"Uh, yeah.", I said, gathering my stuff. "So, what was all that about?"
He shot me a confused look. "What was all what about?"
"You and Antonio."
He waved his hand, as if to dismiss it. "Nothing. He just did something for me and it's really changed my life for the better. That's all. Now, come on, we're going to the studio."
"The studio?", I questioned. "Your album is finished."
He laughed. "I figured we could go somewhere quiet, intimate. Plus no ones at the studio.", He jingled a pair of keys around. "And I have these."
* * *
"The album is gonna be great, Royce.", I assured him as he stared at a prototype copy of Soy El Mismo. That was the name of the album and it was crazy to think I helped him write the title track.
He sighed as he set the CD down. "Yeah, you're right. I just want the best for my fans, that's all." He smiled. "But I'm always up for some encouragement." He pretended to pucker his lips for a kiss.
