                                                                *Prince Royce's POV*

Adrienne and I managed to keep things as un-awkward as possible for the next few days. It wasn't that hard for us anyway, we had basically been doing that ever since we met. We were pros at it now. As much as I felt like we needed this, I couldn't help but feel like this whole situation was stupid. We were officially broken up.

We were both headed to New York, but we had to go our separate ways. She was going back to her family and I was going back to visit mine, seeing as I hadn't since Christmas.

"Take care of yourself, alright? I guess I'll see you whenever, Adrienne.", I remember telling her at the airport. I hated having to say that. Not because we were saying goodbye but because of the note we left on. The fact that I wasn't too sure when I'd need her help sucked too. I wouldn't be busy for a while. Even now, in the middle of September, I regret not saying something else, not trying to make things right.

"Watching West Side story again? I haven't seen you watch this in a while.", pointed out Shanelli, as she sat down next to me on the couch.

I shrugged. "Well, maybe I'm just in the mood."

Were were both quiet until the number for the song "Cool" when she spoke up again. "What's up with you, Geoff?"

I laughed uneasily. "Nothing is wrong  with me, Nelli."

She eyed me suspiciously. "Would 'nothing' happen to be another word for that Adrianna girl."

"Adrienne. Her name is Adrienne, Nelli."

She smirked. "I know her name, Geoff. I just wanted you to say something. Now spill."

"I don't know what you're talking about."

She raised an eyebrow. "Ya'll broke up, didn't you?"

        I sighed. "I'm fine, okay?"

"You're not okay.", she said finally after a few minutes. "I know you too well, Geoff."

I was quiet and returned my attention to the TV screen.

"Why are you guys making this so complicated? Never have I seen you so hung up over someone.", she said once she noticed I was tring to avoid the topic. "Just tell me what's up? You're my brother. We don't not always get along but I don't like seeing you like this."

"I'm gonna be fine."

"Gonna be? A few minutes ago you said you were fine, Geoffrey."

"Listen, I just don't know if I can wait for her to come around, alright?"

"Well, if you don't do shit about it, that's on you. I understand you can't devote your life on being hung up on a girl but it's not like you make an effort to show her you want her...do you love her?"

I hesitated before nodding, even though I already knew the answer. "Yeah..."

She raised an eyebrow. "Are you just waiting and expecting her to come to you or are you trying your hardest to keep her in your life? You don't love her, Geoff. It's obvious."

"But I do. She just might be one of the best things that happened to me since my career started. I really do love  her, Nelli."

"Do you really? Don't follow your dreams, chase them. You should already know that.", she said. "Now, you need to go fix things between you two because I doubt you'd want your little sister fixing things for you."
