"So this is the plan." Glenn rolled out a map of the prison that he found stuffed under a pile of cafeteria trays. "We already cleared our cell block, but it won't stay clear if we don't clear the basement here." He pointed to the center. "We need to kill as many as we can, but there will be a lot so if we push them out to the sides there should be sliding gates. We will block off those gates once we have the walkers where we want them which will leave the center completely clear and that's the only way to get to us. So Rick and Daryl," ( omg I haven't mentioned Daryl in forever! ) "You two have the most weapon experience, which is why you two need to stay by the door to the basement so that stray walkers can't get to the cell blocks. Maggie and Theodora, the second the doors open you are going to run to the gates on either side and put yourself into the safe area, because you are the fastest. Then Carl and I will storm in and when start clearing our way from you two on the outsides into the center. once the walkers become too much to handle, I'll yell now and Maggie and Theodora will open the gates and come towards us as fast as you can. Maggie and I will heard walkers to the left and Carl and Thee to the right. once we have all of them cornered we close the gates on them, then we're done. So everyone knows their job?" Everyone stood there, shocked that Glenn came up with this all by himself.

"Glenn, what'd you do before all this?" Rick asked.

"Delivered pizzas, why?"

"No reason."

We got to the heavy iron door. You could hear the moans of the walkers on the other side.

"GO!" Glenn yelled. Daryl pushed open the door and Maggie and I stormed to either side and did exactly as instructed. Carl came running towards me and started killing his way to the middle, but something was wrong. he was pushed back against my gate and was holding off walkers with a metal pipe.

"CARL WHAT'S GOING ON?!"

" I don't know!" No walkers are going for Glenn, only me! I can't hold them all off!"

"What can I do!" It hurt me to see Carl struggling, and he had obviously broken his shoulder, maybe more.

" Theodora, I love you." The next thing I knew he was charging, pushing the walkers against the wall with the pipe. " EVERYONE RUN!"

" NO!" Glenn, Maggie and I yelled in unison. I was trying to get out, but the gate was jammed. by the time I made it out, Glenn and Maggie were already pushing walkers to either side. I heard screaming. Once the walkers were secured, I realized it was coming from me. I looked towards Carl. he was on the ground, not moving. I ran toward him.

"NO!" I slid to the floor beside him. His face was all filthy and scratched up, his arms and legs black and blue, but he was still beautiful. I was crying. I knew people were talking to me, just I couldn't hear them I blocked everything out and was just staring at Carl's motionless body. Sooner or later, everyone was gone. they were probably telling me that they were going to get the rest of the group. I had stopped crying so hard. Now I just had soundless tears streaming down my face. The room was silent.

"Carl," I whispered. I put my head down on his chest. I couldn't tell if there was a heart beat or not because my head was screaming. "Show me a sign." I paused. nothing. "Say something. Please."
