"Theodora i..."

"No, don't say anything. I did what I've wanted to do since she picked up a bottle after the crash."

"I know, just is there anything you want me to..."

"I did what I had to do, Carl."

"I know. I know." he put his arm around me. I put my head on his shoulder.

"So this is the world today. people's families die, no funerals, no tears, no sorrow, just a bullet to the head."

"The world didn't leave us much choice." Daryl walked in.

"Hi." He sat down next to me. "I know what you're going through. I know it isn't sadness. when I was ten, me and some of the other neighborhood boys were at the park. they were on the swings, I was shoot'n bunnies, so on and so forth. then we saw an ambulance and two fire trucks speed by. they hopped on their bikes and started chasing it. I didn't have any fancy bike, so I just ran. I eventually just went back home, I couldn't catch up to them, and once I was there everyone was staring and me.it was my house on fire. Merle was just kicking a can around outside. my momma had finally done it. she was drunk. she was smoking. she fell asleep cigarette butt in hand, set the house on fire. she was dead. and I remembered her being drunk all the time, and I wasn't sad. I just sat in the street and went to bed."

"I'm sorry," I said.

"Well im sorry. and I'm sorry for you too, carl. I heard what you had to do." he walked out.

"Carl?" he was looking at his feet. "Carl what did he mean?"

"so... You know how I told you about Maggie delivering the baby?"

"yeah, "

"well, she fainted, and I had to finish it, and, finish her when the time came."

"oh Carl!" I gave him a hug. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't want you to feel sorry or worry." he looked at me and grinned. "I love you."

"I love you too."

"Then let's get out and get working." we walked out hand in hand. "we should find the infirmary, that'd be a big help to everyone"

"you think that there might be meds in there that can work towards a cure?"

"we won't know until we check." we grabbed our guns and knives and headed over. "We need to be cautious, we don't want anyone finding out we're going, but they need the stuff so we have to. Oh, if you don't want to come, you can stay just don't tell ANYONE not even my dad, or Daryl where I've gone. Ok?"

"don't be crazy I'm coming!"

"I don't know Thee..."

"oh my god! I'm going!" I stormed ahead of him. He followed.

It was really dark in the prison, even In the day. We needed our flashlights and we cold only see the bits that the beam hit.

"Thee?"

"yeah?"

"stay close" he grabbed me by the arm and pulled me closer to him. I knew this was an important mission but instill liked it. I could tell he was really worried about me. I didn't know why, but it was cute. Why was he worried for me when he was the one that almost died TWICE?! Whatever. I felt like maybe I should've stayed back just for his sake. He suddenly stopped causing me to trip over myself. He caught me, of coarse, being the amazing man he is.

"Here we are. I'm gonna pull open the doors, then at that second we both are ready with our guns.who knows how many walkers are in there." he undid the rusty lock. It was broken, so he didn't need the key.

"Ready?"

"yeah."

"One, two, three!" He pulled the doors open. No walkers came out. Instead, we saw a bunch of corpses just laying on the ground. There was the infirmary, with dozens of meds.

"Follow me," Carl whispered we went in. Standing there, in the corner, was a bloodied man holding a bloody sword. We walked towards him and held our guns up high.

"Who are you?" Carl asked.

"Uh... Uh... Theodore Douglas. T-dog."
