I held my gun up high, not truly prepared to take on what must have been in there.

"NOW!" carl yelled. T-dog opened the door. Nothing came out. I hand motioned for t-dog to grab his weapon and get ready.he went behind Carl and i as backup. we eased in.

"Help! Theodora! Carl!" there we saw Sophia on the floor being devoured by a walker.

"NO!" I yelled. I tackled the walker, threw my gun, grabbed my knife and started stabbing the walker repeatedly in the head. I must have at least stabbed that walker 30 times before giving throwing the body across the room. I went over to Sophia. her insides were spilled out on the floor. when she took a breath, what was left inside her made a weird slushing sound. carl got his gun ready.

"No!" I stated putting my hand in front of the gun. "please. just go find the others." carl nodded his head and he and t-dog ran through the hallway. I sat there. next to sophia.

"Theodora,"

"You're okay soph, you're going to be fine."

"Don't let my mom die. please."

"Ok." and with that, sophia was gone. I closed her eyes. I heard everyone coming towards us. the first I saw was carl, and I watched as he pushed the whole crowd of people coming towards us. I knew Carol wouldn't be easy to contain, so I clicked on my silencer and did it fast. I ended it before she could come back. when Carol finally broke free, she put Sophia's head in her lap.

"Sophia, my baby. my gorgeous gorgeous girl. Sophia. sophia. my beautiful sophia. I love you. my baby girl sophia." Carol kept on mumbling over and over.now that I was no longer in a state of shock, I realized that I was in the laundry room. I grabbed a sheet and Daryl and Rick rapped Sophia up. Maggie and Glenn talked to Carol. gave her their praises. with Hershel recently deceased in an insistent to brutal to speak of, Maggie knew what to say. She had a propped Burial and a funeral. I lay awake next to carl that night.

"I'm sorry." he whispered in my ear.

"For what?"

"If I hadn't hesitated, if I had responded faster with tdog, maybe Sophia..."

"No carl. don't you do that. don't think for a second that this is on you.it was out of our control. and I know Sophia knew that too." he kissed my forehead "get some rest beautiful. it was a tiring day, you'll need it."
