He pulled her easily towards his parked car even though she tried to struggle.
"You are really exaggerating this Mine..." Hunter tried to make her cooperate but she slid her jacket off her shoulders and his grip, so firmly on her sleeves, couldn't hold her back anymore.
Mavis ran away from his as fast as she could but he wasn't about to let her go. Running after her, he caught up in no time, his arms struggling to keep her from running away.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!" he shouted when she tried to kick his legs under him.
"Let me go!" Mavis shouted at him.
Mavis got a good kick at his legs the second time around, but because he refused to let her go, instead of being freed from Hunters grasp, she fell down with him. Now, instead of being as far from him as possible she was right under him.
"I hate you!" she whispered as she stopped struggling aware she wasn't going to be able to get away from him no matter what.
"You are such a child sometimes I really want to kill you." he responded with as much annoyance in his words as Mavis'. "Why do you think I followed you huh?! Becuase I'm about to express to you, my undying love?!"
"To humiliate me or whatever you sick brain came up with this time."
"The only thing my brain came up with at this time was that your father was going to kill me if I didn't take you back home!"
Great, Mavis thought, he couldn't even bother acknowledging how just 10 minutes away her own best friend had told everyone Mavis had had quite a huge crush on him. It was every bit as humiliating as him knowing how she had felt. It was a good thing the parking lot was dark. That way she didn't have to see his face, but she could feel his heavy breath and his fast beating heart.
Hunter cursed under his breath as he got to his feet. Without even waiting, he grabbed Mavis by her arm and pulled her harshly towards his car. He locked her inside and stood outside, leaning on the car's side until Kira joined them not long after.
Mavis was ashamed of herself. She could not have been able to avoid this stupid event but she could have reacted better. She had indeed overreacted when Hunter hadn't even cared about it. He wasn't showing the tiniest of care.
"So Mavis, you were also a stupid little girl huh?!" Kira spoke as she entered the car and sat on the passenger seat in front.
Mavis didn't reply.
"She is still quite stupid. Don't you offend her like that again!" Hunter mocked Mavis as he started the car and drove out of there.
Mavis ignored him too as she concentrated on just looking out at the speeding lights instead of bothering with them. It was a good thing she had a good resolution because until Hunter dropped Kira off to her house (which was unexpectedly quite a normal looking house) she didn't stop once making fun of Mavis. She thought this was quite funny no matter what.
Ater Kira was gone, the drive home was quite silent. So silent Mavis started praying for him to make fun of her just to break that awkward silence between the two. But Hunter didn't even try.
Once they reached their houses, Mavis was quick to get out of the car she was nearly suffocating on, and go without saying a word to him.
Once again, Hunter followed her.
"You don't need to walk me home Jensen, my father only asked you to drive me."
She was annoyed.
As she reached her houses' porch, Hunter caught her arm and spun her around.
"So," he started, "You had a crush on me when I first moved here?!"
