When Mavis got into Hunter's car the next day, he took his phone out of his pockets and played a recorder for her:

"You can't go anywhere without letting Hunter know first and you shouldn't go in any corner with Alex or any other guy."

It was Justin's voice.

Mavis glared at him.

"Did you really made Justin record all this shit just so you don't have to talk to me?!"

Without a single muscle in his face moving, Hunter pressed something else on his phone and Justin's voice filled the car again.

"Yes. He did make me record all of this. You can't talk to him during the party too. Hunter has more important things to do than deal with you. Though, again, if Alex comes close to you then he will have to take extra measures which you will want to avoid."

Angry, Mavis had some very choice words for Hunter, but before she could say anything Hunter continued the recorder:

"Oh and if you think of swearing or doing anything too crude Hunter will return you home ASAP because dad ordered him to make sure you went pure and you come back home just as pure."

Hunter put the phone inside his pockets as he grinned to himself.

He was enjoying it.

Because Mavis was mad. Very, very mad. If she wanted to say anything against Hunter, then he would leave her behind and she wouldn't make it to the party. But if she went with it, and said nothing back then she would wound her own pride.

Taking her time to think the best reply and registering all the things Hunter had said, she came to a conclusion.

"I will stay away from you and not go anywhere without telling you first. But you stay away from me and my friends too. Alex included. If you do anything to him too then trust me, your girls will start seeing me as a real threat soon."

Mavis did notice a flash of light on Hunter's eyes, almost as if he liked her reply, but it was gone as soon as it came and they were on the road to the party.

The theater club had rented an inside entertainment pool for a couple of hours and had placed some snacks and drinks around it with low music in the background. The place looked amazing, mostly because Mavis loved pools, but it also looked clean and fancy and a place they could all spend some quality time.

Mavis meet Kira on the dressing room as they changed to their swimsuits.

"What are you wearing?" Mavis asked Kira tentatively, "I feel like you will either wear nothing or wear something that covers you up all the way or wear something scary."

Instead of a reply, Kira just came out dressed, giving Mavis the stink eye.

She was wearing all black for sure. She had a black bikini top that tied around the neck and with no designs whatsoever, and she was wearing dark swimming shorts.

Mavis smiled amusedly.

"I like it!" she said but Kira just rolled her eyes and let Mavis change instead.

In reality, Mavis felt embarrassed for having to wear just a swimsuit in front of her friends. She was okay with going to the pool or the beach with family or close friends, but she didn't like the idea of her friends knowing how she looked like in her underwear.

But she was still there. Attending a party just because she was annoyed with Hunter. So, after contemplating it for a long time, Mavis had decided to wear a white, one-piece swimsuit.

She looked at her self in the mirror trying to fix her hair not knowing if wearing white had been a good choice. She had decided pro it only towards the end, and she didn't want to admit to herself she had done so for Hunter. He had told her after all that she looked good in white and she thought that, if Hunter had not been able to stop himself for kissing her when she was wearing a white dress, then maybe she would make him reconsider his opinion of her.
