The first real reaction with Hunter finally came one Thursday when Justin stepped into her room looking very pissed.

"I hate Cole!" he complained. "I asked him to give me his controller for months, and he made me think he would give it to me, but now I discovered he has given it to Hunter! Does that guy even have a family or is it just Hunter?!"

"Welcome to my life where Hunter gets everything," Mavis replied as she tried to do her homework.

"But he promised he would give it to me! He could have just told me he was going to give it to Hunter!"

Justin fell on her bed looking sadder then he was supposed to be.

"Is this really about the controller?!" she asked putting her books aside.

"More like, I told this big guy at school that I had the controller. I told him it was my lucky controller and I might have challenged him to a serious game."

Mavis stared at him hard for a good minute while Justin avoided her look.

"It was for a girl," Justin added after a while his face growing red.

Mavis tried hard not to laugh at him. Of course Justin was doing this all for a girl, otherwise, he would have just ignored the guy and the challenge.

"Just ask Hunter. He will probably give it to you."

Hunter had always been nice to Justin. Like another big brother even, so he would probably even help Justin win the game.

"I already did, and Hunter said no."

Mavis was surprised.

"Well, ask if you can just borrow it for that day."

"No can do. He said that I should learn my lesson and not try to put bets that I'm not sure I can win." Justin took a deep breath trying not to show how upset he was. "He also said this is even more stupid since I'm doing it for a girl."

"Oh, he did didn't he?!"

All of the sudden Mavis was pissed. Who the hell was Hunter to tell her brother he was stupid for doing something for a girl?! Hunter who had no morals at times and would go after girls just because they were girls!

"Let's go and get it!" Mavis said as she got out of her bed.

"What?!"

"Yes Justin, we will go to him right now and I'll teach him how stupid he his for even thinking he can teach you a lesson!"

And she was determined as hell to teach him well, but Justin, who also jumped to his feet and started following her, didn't look as reassured.

"You know, everyone knows he doesn't even want to speak to you these days. I'm not sure starting a fight will be a good idea."

But Mavis ignored her worried little brother as she got out of her house and went towards Hunter's one. Hunter was home because his car was in front of the house.

Without even knocking, she entered and went straight to the one room Hunter could always be found.

"Now listen to me, Justin. I don't care what you think will happen but, when I tell you to take the controller, you will do so without thinking twice okay?!"

Justin looked at her worried as if he thought she was doomed, but he nodded nonetheless.

She entered Hunter's manly room and she found him there, just sitting, TV and everything else turned off while he just stared straight in front of him, music playing on his black earphones.
