I wake up by the rain on my window. The wind is crazy out there and I am relieved that it's Saturday and I don't have to move from the coziness of my room. I reach for my phone that is on my nightstand. It is half past eleven. I am actually proud of myself.
I get up and go to the bathroom to wash my face in order to wake up. I see my reflection on the mirror and I notice my hair not being on the bun that I made them into last night. I brush them and leave them falling just above my shoulders.
After that I get downstairs to grab something for breakfast. The boys are still asleep. I don't stay for long on the living room. I go to the kitchen and open the fridge. I take out the milk and pour some into a bowl with some cereal before grabbing a spoon and sitting on the table eating while checking my phone.
"Good morning!"
Alex says as he enter the kitchen and I jump on my chair. That was unexpected.
"Good morning. How did you sleep?"
"Well... I had trouble sleeping at first."
He says and looks at me with a smirk all over his face.
"Really? Why is that?"
"I was thinking about you."
I smile at him but soon my smile fades and I keep eating silently because I see my brother from across the hall entering the kitchen. I give Alex a signal to look behind and he takes his phone in his hands pretending that he texts someone. Or maybe he really is. I don't know.
"Morning..."
My brother says to us and he looks so sleepy I doubt he even notices who Alex is.
Taking my breakfast with me, I get upstairs to start studying. I have to get done with everything today. Tomorrow is my date with Alex so half of my day will be on that. I take out of my bag my books and dive into studying.
I get distracted by my phone ringing. I take it and it's Eva.
"Hey!"
"Hey... Am I interrupting you?"
She asks me.
"No... I was about to stop studying actually and start getting ready."
"Oh... That's why I called actually. Can you drive me? My mum took my car because hers is broken."
"Yeah sure."
I say, closing my history book.
"Thank you. I'll be there in a bit."
"Okay. See you"
"See you."
She says and she hangs up.
I check my phone and it is half past six. I totally lost track of time today. After lunch I got in my room and I didn't check my phone at all.
I get in the bathroom to do my make-up and then I make my hair into a ponytail. After that I open my closet to find something to wear while I hear the doorbell. I quickly put on a pair of leggings and a white top. I grab my green and black flannel and go downstairs to open the door but instead I find my brother, Alex and their friend Jason sitting there with Eva introducing themselves.
"Hey!"
"Hey Anne."
"Should we go upstairs? I am not ready yet."
"Sure. Nice meeting you Alex."
She says to him and I roll my eyes to Alex.
"Yeah. Me too."
