I take my tray and go sit next to Emma. I am so excited that I going to buy things for my room I don't think that I'll finish my breakfast.
"First things first, we'll go buy curtains and bed sheets."
Emma says the minute that I place my tray on the table.
"That sounds great! I was thinking of crème white curtains."
"I like it. Simple and elegant."
"And I thought to put color through the comforter. Something colorful."
"I think that it is going to be an amazing room."
"I hope so. Are you finished with your breakfast? I can't eat more."
"Yeah, I am done. Let's go get the bus."
She says and we get up to go outside.
We walk towards the bus station. It must be here in a couple of minutes.
"Are you excited for tomorrow?"
Emma asks me and the truth is that I really am. I feel so nervous though at the same time.
"I am. I really am."
"I know London isn't the most romantic city but I..."
"Please don't. Don't make me get my hopes up."
"Anne... Come on! Why did you think he told to go with him at the first place? He wants to get to know you."
"That doesn't mean that he likes me that way."
I say and I really mean it.
"You have to stop screwing yourself over. He is a great guy and he seems to like you."
"But what if he doesn't? I don't want to hope for something that may not come, Emma. I'll be disappointed. And trust me, right now it's the last thing I want."
"I am not saying that I am sure but... Look, just don't erase it as an option. Because if it does happen you have to show an interest back. If you like him of course."
"I don't know. I... I just want to get to know him tomorrow. That's all for now."
"I can live with that."
She says and she smiles before getting up and going towards the bus that just arrived.
We get in and show the driver our student's cards. We, then, sit in the back. The bus is almost empty. I turn my head to the window looking outside. The weather is chilly today and the first clouds have made their appearance. Joe pops in my mind. I really can't wait to find out more about him. Especially after yesterday. The time we spent in the garden made me see something in him. Something that I desperately need. Peace. I need peace. I have it in my life but I so desperately need it in my soul. He seemed to have both of them.
We are in a bedding shop and I am in between two different comforters. The one is light blue with black and white designs and the other is pure white.
"I think the blue one will match better with the curtains you bought."
"I know...I'll take it. I am so excited to go back and put all those things we bought in my room."
"I am excited too. One last thing though. We have to go buy a lamp for your nightstand."
"I totally forgot about that. We can go to the first store we went. I saw a cute one."
