-Oh don't change it! I love that song.
I say to Tom but he doesn't seem to care a bit.
-Come on! Who listens to this stuff anyways.
-You know there are people who actually enjoy listening to Frank Sinatra.
-I know. Maybe you should have been in the car with grandma.
-Don't mock me!
I say and I can she him laughing out loud.
-What is it that funny?
-That phrase. 'Don't mock me' you have been saying it since 2nd grade.
He says and he is still laughing.
-Really?
-Yes. Tell me. Who send you that?
He asks me and I seriously don't know if I should talk about it.
-Maybe you should pay attention on the road and not my jewelry. I am just saying.
-Oh come on. We were at church for two hours without talking and we have about 20 minutes to get home. Start talking.
-Okay. A friend send it to me.
-Does he have a name?
-How do you know it is a he?
-I just know. And I am assuming he is not just a friend.
-Okay. He is kind of more than a friend. His name is Joe and that is all I am telling you.
-It is enough for now. I hope he doesn't do anything stupid cause I'll get the first plane and come to England.
-Don't worry. He is a very nice guy. Do you realize it is the first time we talk about things like that?
-I know. It is kind of weird. Get my phone from my jacket. It is buzzing.
He says and I reach for his phone. It is Alex.
-It's Alex.
-Pick it up and put in on speaker.
He says and I do as he says.
-Hey man. What took you so long?
I can hear Alex saying.
-I am driving. Anne just picked it up. You are on speaker.
-Oh. Hi Anne.
-Hey.
I say and then move my head around facing the view outside the window.
-Really? Okay. I'll call you later because I can't talk about that right now.
Tom says to Alex and I wonder what they talk about.
-Is everything alright?
Tom asks me and I nob my head positively.
He seems skeptical though. Maybe it's about that thing that Alex told him about. Who knows?
Tom parks the car on our driveway and I take of my seat belt to get out.
-Wait.
Tom says and I turn around to face him.
-What?
-Why don't you like Alex?
-What do you mean? I don't even know him.
-I know. That's why I think it is weird that you become bitter every time you hear his name.
-I just don't like him. He seems...
