I take a look around my room one last time before I go just to check that I haven't left anything that I'll need behind. I close the door and I lock it before putting my keys on my bag.
-Did you get everything?
I hear Mark saying before turning around.
-Yeah. I'll take the blue suitcase. Can you get the silver one?
-Of course. That's why I came.
-Thanks Mark.
I say to him as we take the stairs to get to the living room. Once we are down we get to front door and I can see through the glass Emma and Jack saying their goodbyes before he grabs her by the waist to lift her up and the down again. They share a hug and once they pull away Emma fixes Jacks scarf that she bought him for Christmas. I don't know which one of us is in the most difficult position. Them that don't even have the courage to express how they feel or me and Joe not being able to walk together on the outside world?
-Hey! It was about time. We'll miss the train Anne. Let's go!
Jack says and moves towards the taxi that is waiting for us.
-One second!
I say before hugging Emma one last time.
-I'll miss you so much Em!
-I'll miss you more... But we'll Skype as much as we can don't you worry!
-I'll miss you too Mark. Take care!
-Oh...my little American... Have a great time!
Mark says before pulling away from our hug and then I get into the taxi.
As it goes me and Jack wave them goodbye and I take one last glance on this amazing place. I'll miss it so much. Especially the secret garden. It heard a lot of my thoughts these past few months.
After a ten minute drive we arrived on the train station. The driver helped us with our suitcases and Jack went to buy our tickets.
I hear my phone buzzing inside my bag and I rush to find it.
-Hello...
-Hey love!
-Joe... Hey... I am at train station with Jack.
-Oh...Okay then. Call me before you board on the plane.
-I will. Bye!
-Anne...wait!
-Yeah...what is it?
-Nothing...we'll talk later!
-Okay...
I tell him before hanging up on him...
-Is everything alright?
Jack asks me once he approaches me with the tickets on his hand.
-Nothing...It was Joe on the phone.
-What did he say?
-To call him before I get on the plane...
-Oh...Okay. Let's get on the train, shall we?
-Of course.
I tell him sounding as British as I can.
We get in and place our suitcases on the shelves at the end of our wagon before go to look for our seats.
-Found them.
