I open my eyes and after a few seconds I realize where I am. I try to turn around but Joe is holding me into his arms and I can't move. I slowly try to take them off my waist without waking him up.
Once I am up, I take a look at him sleeping. He is just perfect. But then again, the guilt that I feel doesn't let me cherish this moment. Last night I was able to forget about it and I tried to have a great time. And that is because I get the feeling that I after I tell him nothing will ever be the same.
-Anne?
I hear him say as I am making my way upstairs and I instantly go back downstairs.
-Here I am! Good morning.
I say and lay next to him.
-How did you sleep last night?
-Perfect. Just perfect.
-Me too. I think we need to make this a habit, you know.
He says and I can't hide my smile.
-Really? Like what?
-Like... you coming here as often as you can and sleeping over.
-We'll see about that.
I say and I pause. I try not to look at him and instead I take a look around the house. I am nervous. But this is something that I have to do. I need to tell him.
-Is everything alright?
He asks me and I look at him trying to smile a bit.
-I need to talk to you about something.
-Tell me.
-It is... I did something stupid. And I want you to know that I love you. You. Only you. No one else.
-You are scaring me. What did you do?
He asks and I try to find the right words but then the doorbell rings distracting me of my thoughts.
-Wait a second.
He says and goes towards the door. He looks through the peephole and then turns to look at me.
-Please tell me it's not your mother. Because that would be the most cliche thing ever.
-No. It is not my mother.
He says having a frustrated look on his face and then he opens the door to reveal Jack.
-What the hell are you doing here Jack?
-Good morning to you too.
Jack says and comes in.
-Morning Jack. We were kind of having a conversation here.
-Excuse me for coming to warn you.
Jack says and I get terrified because his serious face is on and you don't really get to see that every day.
-About what?
Joe asks him and he closes the door.
-Your mother is coming. She is at the dining hall with Charlotte. Emma is there so when she leaves, Emma will text us.
-Seriously? She can't find you here.
Joe says and I can see him start panicking.
-I know that. I have to go.
I say and start looking for my bag which I can't find.
-Listen! Anne you go upstairs and get dressed. Joe get all the sheets and blankets and stuff on the bedroom and I'll make the couch into a couch. Why didn't you just sleep on the bed?
