Monica's POV
"Ashton asked me for my number in history" I said, "Did you give him it?" Luke asked, takin his eyes off the road for a blink of a second before turning back, "Well, yeah" I said, "Oh" he said as we fell into a bit of an awkward silence, for as long as I've known Luke, basically all my life, we've never had an awkward silence.
"Bye Monica" Luke mumbled as I left the car, "Bye Luke" I said smiling as I walked up to my house, which was just across the road from Luke's house, "Mum?" I shouted, no answer, "Dad?" I shouted, no answer again, they must be working still.
I skipped into the kitchen and made myself a sandwich, eating it quickly and walking to my room, putting my black skinny jeans and black nirvana shirt on, I brushed through my hair and sat on my bed, pulling my phone from my pocket, I had a text from my mum and a text from a number I didn't have saved, Ashton probably.
From mum: dad and I will be home late tonight honey, there's money in the bread bin if you want to order pizza, Luke can stay over if you want, love you honey xx
From unknown: it's Ashton, hey beautiful ;) xx
I text them both back, also text Luke.
To mum: okay mum, thank you, love you too, be safe! xx
To Ashton: hey Ashton xx
To Luke: my mum and dad won't be home 'til late and said you're allowed to stay, wanna come over?
I got two replies back instantly.
From Ashton: what are you doing babe? xx
From Luke: I can't right now, i'll come over later, about 7
To Ashton: nothing, sitting in my room, what about you? xx
To Luke: okay lukeeee! Love ya
From Ashton: sitting alone in my house, wanna join me? xx
From Luke: love ya too Monica
To Ashton: no ill pass
From Ashton: awh! come on baby! don't be a kill joy ;) xx
To Ashton: I'm not coming to your house Ashton.
From Ashton: okay then, see ya at school tomorrow. Goodnight beautiful xx
What was wrong with him?
One minute he's acting like a dick and the next he's acting like a perfect boyfriend.
Wait, boyfriend? I did not think that.
I sighed and didn't even reply to him, I asked Molly if she wanted to meet me at Pizza Hut and she agreed.
"I think we should just half a large pepperoni pizza" I said, "I don't like pepperoni, get half and half" Molly said, "Okay" I said nodding as a waitress came over and took our orders.
Once we were finished I headed home and saw it was almost 7, Luke should be over just now.
"Monica!" I heard Luke shout from outside the door, I chuckled and unlocked it, letting Luke in and locking the door again, "Im going in a shower, do whatever you usually do" I said laughing as I headed up to my room, grabbing my pyjama shorts and t shirt, and heading into the bathroom and into a shower, closing the curtain and washing my hair.
I came out and dried myself, putting the towel around my hair, putting on my underwear and then my pyjama shorts, I could have sworn I brought a top in too.
I heard giggling from outside and opened the door to see Luke standing there with my top in his hands, "Luke you asshole! Give me my top back" I shouted, laughing at him. I tried to keep myself hidden but it wasn't working very well, "Luke!" I yelled, "Come and get it" he said, taking a few steps back, "No! You'll see my boobs" I said giggling, "Its not like I haven't seen them before" he stated, "When have you ever saw my boobs? Wait, I don't even want to know, just give me my top" I said laughing, "Fine" he said handing me my top and watching as I put it on, "Stop staring at me Luke!" I warned, he blushed and turned around, "Little bit late for turning around" I said giggling as we walked down the stairs.

"Luke come on, we're going to be late for school" I shouted, "Im fixing my hair" he shouted, I chuckled. That boy and his hair.
"Okay, okay, I'm coming" he said running down the stairs and banging into me, sending me flying, luckily he caught me before I landed on the ground, I chuckled and stood up straight, "Thank you" I said a he chuckled, "Come on then Monica" he said as we headed out to his car, driving the short journey to our school.
"I have history just now, what do you have?" I asked Luke, "Home ec" he said, "That's on the other side of the school! You have a long walk ahead of you" I said chuckling, "I know, I'm gonna start walking just now, the bell is gonna go anyway" he said, and just on cue, the bell went, "Bye Luke, see you at lunch" I said walking off.
"Hey babe" someone said walking next to me, Ashton.
"Hey Ashton" I said smiling, "What are you doing after school?" he asked, "Nothing, I don't think, why?" I asked, "I'll pick you up at five" he said, "For what?" I asked, "To go on a date" he said as if it was obvious, "I never agreed to a date" I said giggling, "Well, will you go on a date with me?" he asked, "Yeah, I guess I could fit it in somewhere" I said laughing, he chuckled as we got into history and sat in the same seats as yesterday.
We ended up spending the full session talking and getting to know each other, we actually had so much in common, and he was so down to earth and didn't seem how you would expect him to.
